TO CAMILLE PAGLIA: Friends of mine and I have found ourselves at the crossroads of the Washington, D.C., media, gay press and the murder of a straight man at the home of a noted gay rights and marriage attorney. Print may be morbid, but maybe citizen journalism/investigation may fill the void. There is a three-year-old unsolved murder of a straight man who was drugged, incapacitated, sexually assaulted, suffocated, then stabbed in the home of three gay men, one of them being an old college friend. One of the defendants -- not charged with murder, however -- is noted K Street...

Two weeks after a prominent lawyer was killed in a Washington townhouse, D.C. police are still searching the home for clues, and they believe crime scene evidence was cleaned, according to court documents. The body of Robert Wone, 32, general counsel for Radio Free Asia, was found Aug. 2 in a Swann Street NW townhouse. He had been stabbed three times in the chest. The house is owned by two men who are well known in the gay community. They and a third resident at home the night of Wone's killing have hired criminal defense lawyers. Police said Wone was...

WASHINGTON - D.C. Police say a Washington lawyer who was killed earlier this week in Northwest was the target of the attack. Police Sergeant Brett Parson tells The Washington Post that the evidence investigators have found so far suggests that someone targeted 32-year-old Robert Wone when he was stabbed Wednesday night in the 1500 block of Swann Street. Officers found Wone, who was the general counsel for the nonprofit Radio Free Asia, suffering from multiple stab wounds from a butcher knife inside the home. No arrests have been made in the case and it remains under investigation.
