Police Say Crime Scene Was Altered(DC gay activists hire defense lawyers)
Washington Post ^ | August 16, 2006 | Allison Klein, Henri E. Cauvin

Two weeks after a prominent lawyer was killed in a Washington townhouse, D.C. police are still searching the home for clues, and they believe crime scene evidence was cleaned, according to court documents.

The body of Robert Wone, 32, general counsel for Radio Free Asia, was found Aug. 2 in a Swann Street NW townhouse. He had been stabbed three times in the chest. The house is owned by two men who are well known in the gay community. They and a third resident at home the night of Wone's killing have hired criminal defense lawyers.

Police said Wone was spending the night at the townhouse near Dupont Circle because he had worked late and did not want to drive home to Virginia, where he lived with his wife. She has declined to speak publicly since his death.

Snip

Price and Zaborsky were identified as a couple in a 2004 article in USA Today about gay parents. They had donated sperm to a lesbian couple, the article said. Price is general counsel to Equality Virginia, a gay rights organization.

Looks like DC's draconian gun laws are working in eliminating violent crime.

Some meanies here at FR, might say something, like, "The sick lives of fags."

Guess the dead guy should have gone home to his wife, rather than spending an all-niter with his gay buddies who live at DuPont Circle......

Who knows? But in Asian culture, IMO, she will take the blame for not being a good enough wife(while her husband seemingly cheats), which is a bugaboo for American liberals.

How do they square that all cultures are superior to traditional American and Western culture, where in traditional Western culture, the husband would be to blame for what appears to be philandering.

Wone's relationship with these people may have been entirely innocent, platonic, whatever. Perhaps he refused someone's advances (easily possible) and was killed, especially if there were drugs involved. Say whatever you like about the other three who have already lawyered up, but the dead guy could have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

If you look at the website of Price's law firm, they tout their "diversity" .....seeing as Price is counsel to a big gay rights group, and that he and his, er, buddy, are big celebs in the gay community, this is not going to be great publicity for the gays.

I wonder if Price's law colleagues are pissed off at him right now......

That maybe true, but let's use some common sense. Obviously he lived near DC(in VA) and made the trip everyday and it was late at night and how bad can traffic be after 8:00 PM in the DC metro area.

JMO, not that bad.

Could be. But most married, straight men who are well-educated don't usually spend the night at homes in DuPont Circle with well known gay activists. Either he was joining in whatever the hell went on at that place, or, he was pretty naive for a guy with a law degree....
