San Francisco Democrats — who have produced some of the most left-wing politicians in America, and some of the most astonishing examples of poor “progressive” governance — want to move the party to the center. That, at least, is the claim made by some local party activists in the pages of Politico on Monday: Leaders of the local party argue the famously liberal city has, in recent years, exported one bad political idea after another, leading Democrats astray and ceding power in Washington to Donald Trump and the GOP. They cite “defund the police,” symbolic resolutions about foreign conflicts like...

Former President Trump criticized Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for his remarks about U.S. support for Ukraine on Monday, saying that the governor is just following in his footsteps. DeSantis made headlines on Tuesday with his response to a questionnaire sent out by Fox New’s Tucker Carlson. DeSantis said that supporting Ukraine in its year-long fight against Russia is not one of America’s “vital interests,” while describing the war as a territorial dispute.

The first fights Bocelli had were at home, he said, when he began to express “certain doubts about the severity of this so-called ‘pandemic.’” “The first to attack me were my children who said to me, ‘Dad, stick to Tosca and Madame Butterfly and leave aside viruses that you know nothing about,’” Bocelli recalled. “But as time went by, I realized that I know a ton of people, but thank God I didn’t know a single person who had even wound up in intensive care, and I wondered about our drastic response,” he said. “Distancing myself from any political party,...

I hate these Spammers, Scammers, Liars and Cheats who constantly call me. I use an App called "Hiya" and works very well blocking many of these jerks. But, I received a call last week from the NRA to renew my membership. Legitimate call? Sure but, they spoofed their number and it was close enough to customers number so, I took the call. The NPA was 415 and this guy was calling from Virginia. Tried to politely get him off the phone and eventually did. However, I am still hacked about the spoofing even if I am an NRA member. So,...

Scientists have been using quantum theory for almost a century now, but embarrassingly they still don’t know what it means. An informal poll taken at a 2011 conference on Quantum Physics and the Nature of Reality showed that there’s still no consensus on what quantum theory says about reality—the participants remained deeply divided about how the theory should be interpreted. Some physicists just shrug and say we have to live with the fact that quantum mechanics is weird. So particles can be in two places at once, or communicate instantaneously over vast distances? Get over it. After all, the theory...

So I'm driving along and turn my Sirius radio on and still, nearly two months later, there is no FoxNews Talk. See, I like Hannity. He's A great cheerleader but, that's as far as his content is and I can't stand his idiotic setups throughout the week where he and his guests get involved in a discussions that devolves into mindless drive that, on the radio, is crosstalk. That probably works on TV but on the radio it's just aggravating noise. So I like Tom Sullivan and other hosts as an alternative and FoxNews Talk was opening me to other...

On MSNBC, John Kerry told us that Tea Party ideas are not “real” ideas, not “factual,” and thinks that the media should stop reporting on anything that smacks of ideas or news coming from Tea Partiers. If this isn’t proof of how Democrats and leftists would use the power of government to quash free political speech, what is? Not long ago, several Democrats tried to once again raise the ugly head of the defunct Fairness Doctrine that was killed during the Reagan administration in order to limit the free political speech of conservatives.

Media Matters for America is organized as a tax exempt 501(c)3 organization. Under IRS guidelines, they must abide by several rules to maintain this status. Specifically, 501(c)3 organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. You can read an interesting article on this subject "Is Media Matters Breaking the law in its ‘war' on Fox News?" The article strongly suggests that Media Matters is violating its exemption as an educational foundation by actively participating in partisan political activities. Specifically...

There is a potential presidential candidate whom almost every Republican wants. This person would not only galvanize the GOP base, but attract large numbers of independents and centrists as well. He would smash President Obama in 2012 and probably win by a landslide. He is Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin. More than Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich - or any other possible “first-tier” candidate - the House Budget Committee chairman would be the most formidable challenger. He is smart, articulate and principled. He has name recognition.

THE Egyptian people have spoken, and we have spoken emphatically. In two weeks of peaceful demonstrations we have persistently demanded liberation and democracy. It was groups of brave, sincere Egyptians who initiated this moment of historical opportunity on Jan. 25, and the Muslim Brotherhood is committed to joining the national effort toward reform and progress. In more than eight decades of activism, the Muslim Brotherhood has consistently promoted an agenda of gradual reform. Our principles, clearly stated since the inception of the movement in 1928, affirm an unequivocal position against violence. For the past 30 years we have posed, peacefully,...

It is said that the one question about men and women that even the great Sigmund Freud, father of psychoanalysis, could not answer was: What do women want? Whether or not Freud actually admitted his ignorance on this question is irrelevant. The very popularity of the anecdote testifies to one incontrovertible fact: A lot of men don’t know the answer. It is probably fair to say that a lot of women also don’t know the answer. If they did, all they would have to do is tell men. That would solve the riddle — and make most men and women...

Move the mosque! Seven in ten New Yorkers say the proposed mosque/Islamic community center near Ground Zero should be relocated because of opposition from 9/11 families — and an equal number want state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo to probe the group’s finances, a new statewide poll released today found. “Overwhelmingly — across party and regional lines — New Yorkers say the sponsors ought to voluntarily move the proposed mosque to another location,” said Maurice Carroll, director of the Quinnipiac University Poll. The survey of 1,497 of New York residents found: * 54 percent agree that “freedom of religion” gives Muslims...

BERLIN - Some Germans are calling for a public roasting of the oracle octopus who correctly picked the winner of all six of their national soccer team's World Cup matches -- including a bitter defeat to Spain on Wednesday. Paul, a two-year-old octopus in a German aquarium, turned into a global celebrity for his uncanny ability to predict the winner of all Germany's matches -- even a group stage defeat to Serbia and an ousting by Spain in the semi-finals.... Not an ordinarily superstitious people, Germans became believers in Paul's possible psychic powers. The country was shocked and distraught when...
