Victor Davis Hanson weighs in on how the war with Iran is going after two weeks for "The Daily Signal." Video Transcript Summary VICTOR DAVIS HANSON: We’re just completing the second week of the so-called Iran war — this effort of the United States to bomb the theocracy into submission so they will cancel their missile and nuclear programs and to champion the popular protests on the streets that have some potential to get rid of the regime itself. But it’s a very surreal war. I haven’t seen — I don’t think any of us have seen — anything like...

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts declined to distance the conservative organization from Tucker Carlson, in response to criticism that Tucker has become "anti-semitic." KEVIN ROBERTS: I'll have more to say on this in the coming days, but today I want to be clear about one thing. Christians can critique the state of Israel without being anti-Semitic. Of course, anti-Semitism should be condemned. My loyalty as a Christian is to Christ first and to America always. When it serves the interest of the United States to cooperate with other allies, we do so with partnerships on security, intelligence, technology. But when...

MSNBC's "Morning Joe" panel did not circle the wagons around Democratic candidate for Virginia Attorney General, Jay Jones, who was reported this weekend to have texted some extremely violent things about killing a GOP colleague. "He should probably be forced to withdraw from the race," Joe Scarborough said. "And 'probably' is doing a lot there." "Republicans and Democrats alike" are criticizing Jay Jones, Mike Brzezinski said. "NBC News is reporting that Jones did not deny the accuracy of these texts on Friday night, and says he takes full responsibility for his actions." "Horrible, I didn’t want to read them out...

Megyn Kelly and Matt Taibbi look at the documents released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard that President Trump says implicate President Obama in "treason." MATT TAIBBI: I understand the confusion about this. I don't think that the report as it was released did a particularly good job of explaining what exactly the significance of these documents was. But they were very significant. If you remember before the election, there was a story in The New York Times, for instance, on October 31st, saying, "FBI sees no link between Russia and Trump and the election." This was sort of...

Former CIA Director John Brennan responds to accusations of a treasonous conspiracy to commit a soft coup" against Donald Trump from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard: FORMER CIA DIRECTOR JOHN BRENNAN: Here we are again, Nicole. It is unsurprising, very troubling, and very dangerous. As Representative Haines said, the person who leads our intelligence community today would put out something like this that just mischaracterizes and misrepresents, in a wholesale manner, what the intelligence community did during the 2016 run-up to the presidential election. Again, the misrepresentations just are ludicrous. When I read through the material, it reminded me...

CNN's Harry Enten suggests Elon Musk's "America Party" is essentially "dead on arrival" ...

Voto Latino CEO Asks News To "Blur" Mugshot Posters On WH Lawn: "We Don't Know If They've Had Due Process" Posted By Tim Hains On Date April 28, 2025 Maria Teresa Kumar, the CEO of Voto Latino, told MSNBC on Monday morning that journalists reporting from the White House lawn should "blur" the mugshots of suspected deported illegal immigrant criminals on posters put up by the Trump administration. MSNBC's Jonathan Lemire reported: "The White House has put up about 100 posters of what they say are unauthorized immigrants who have been arrested for violent crimes." "What’s particularly noteworthy about this...

Elon Musk said there would be investigations into how members of the federal bureaucracy have become rich on relatively modest salaries, during an Oval Office event with President Trump on Tuesday: DONALD TRUMP: And also, could you mention some of the things that your team has found? Some of the crazy numbers, including the woman who walked away with about $30 million? ELON MUSK: Well, we do find it sort of rather odd that, you know, there are quite a few people in the bureaucracy who have ostensibly a salary of a few hundred thousand dollars but somehow managed to...

Mark Pincus, a tech billionaire who supported Biden in 2020, told "The All-In Podcast" this week that learning Donald Trump was taken out of context regarding the "very fine" people in Charlottesville was a "red-pill moment" for him. "It wasn't just the media or politicians spinning it. That speech was one of the pillars of why you were supposed to hate Trump. You see Biden say that's why he had to run a second time, and you see Obama say it, and Biden brings it up again at the DNC." "It is one of their pillars and they clearly know...

Hillary Clinton sounded the alarm that Donald Trump is a fascist during an interview Thursday night with CNN's Kaitlan Collins

Sen. Amy Klobuchar rejected the characterization from special counsel Robert Hur that President Biden is an "elderly man with a poor memory," saying she recently spent "over an hour" talking to him and he was fine. "I was with the president for over an hour and talked about so many things, domestic, international. He was focused. His recall was good," Klobuchar told NBC's "Meet The Press." KRISTEN WELKER: Well, let me ask you this. The report described President Biden as a quote, "Elderly man with a poor memory." Do you think the White House should allow the release of the...

"The Federalist" senior editor Mollie Hemingway says she no longer trusts the FBI and Department of Justice in response to the indictment of former President Trump, Sunday on FNC's "Media Buzz." MOLLIE HEMINGWAY: The larger context here is so important. I do think people would have be enwilling to hear from the Department of Justice that they need to indict their top political opponent, and hear that in good faith, if we had not experienced what we have from the past six years from this Department of Justice. We have a Department of Justice that had Hillary Clinton, who was...

Former Trump national security staffer Kash Patel called in with Martha Maccallum on FOX News on Friday to react to the release of the warrant used by the FBI to search President Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort home. "If he says something is declassified, that's it, it is declassified," Patel explained. "He declassified a whole set of documents that should have come out... That's on the National Archives to sort that material out... Even if it was classified, they'll never meet the burden of intent because the president didn't pack it up and take it out himself, the G.S.A. has said they...

"This campaign is a reality TV show," he said. "And you have to understand that Donald Trump has been involved with the best reality TV producers for more than 15 years... They make what has been weighed, strategized, considered, look like it is off-the-cuff, look like it is completely unrehearsed. It is very staged. It is very calculated." "He has won a tremendous victory of marketing, because he is selling you a brand. You've accepted that as his brand. That is why he is going to win: There is nothing better than a clear message in politics," he said.

Former House Speaker and potential/rumored pick for Trump running mate, Newt Gingrich, speaks with Fox News Channel's Maria Bartiromo about his general election predictions. He forecasts that by November, the race will no longer be close, and that Trump will win by "a suprisingly big number" like Ronald Reagan did in 1980. NEWT GINGRICH: I don't think these polls signal a close race by November. I think if you look at the trend line, it signals that Trump will probably consolodate support while Hillary Clinton continues to stagnate. And the odds are pretty good Trump will win just like Reagan...

Glenn Beck slams Matt Drudge, saying that his focus on Ted Cruz's religious father, the "priesthood," and Beck's own devotion to Cruz is "a sign that America is done." GLENN BECK: Good God, he's doing it again... This is the front page again? ... Let me just say this: Please, I beg of you --not for Ted Cruz... but for our country-- Please fast and pray.
