Just wanted to let you know that back in the "70's", those of us on active duty had a saying- "Cream and Scum both wind up on top." During my 12 year affiliation (1972-1980, 1984-1986 active, 1987-1989 Reserve) with the USN I had several peripheral glances at Officers being disciplined, all of whom were, shall I say, protected by the club.  I have no supporting information, however, according to Rumor Control from that time, (early 70's) Mr. K., among others, received general d/c's under less than honorable conditions due to their activists behaviors while still a member of the best 600 ship...
