When six Israelis decided to make tequila in Israel, they thought their biggest mission would be convincing people that tequila made from blue agave in the Holy Land could rival the well-known and much appreciated tequilas of Mexico. After October 7, however, when Hamas attacked Israel and killed 1,200 people, the founders of spirits company Negave Estates realized that they had a whole new mission – to help rebuild and resuscitate the Negev communities devastated in the attack. Making tequila in Israel sounds like a pretty wild thing to embark on. Blue agave usually grows in the plains of central...

Ah optics, the only thing Joe Bidens’ asterisk administration seems concerned with. This shouldn’t surprise us given who his mentor was- but now, the cake has at last truly been taken. Kamala Harris is finally visiting the border- and being given a steady round of applause by the legacy media for doing so, even if three months belatedly. There’s only one glaring problem. Kamala will be visiting El Paso, which is one thousand miles away from the main border crisis and the locations of some of the most overrun border facilities, which happen to be in the same region I...

VIDEO Eating ginger candy definitely prevents seasickness. I learned that on a recent cruise. However, on the same cruise I noticed that I never felt drunk despite drinking heavily. So I got to wondering whether eating ginger candy will prevent drunkenness. On May 5, I decided to test this idea out by eating ginger candy followed by drinking 375 ml of Tequila straight. What you see in this video is my participation in this experiment plus the result of that investigation.

The woman, who has not been identified, was caught on camera walking through the airport in her blue bra and pants just before midnight on Wednesday, singing aloud to herself. She then proceeded to remove her bra, followed by her pants, leaving her completely nude. Bemused airport staff and passengers looked on as she waved her bra in the air. Airport police have confirmed that the female, who is not from Florida, was taken into custody for a mental evaluation. They said she had been incoherent and delusional when they approached her.

    - Remember, if Democrats see a Republican member of congress performing effectively, the first thing they do is demonize him.: House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes continues to be the target of a focused demonization campaign by the Democrats and their agents in the fake news media, to the point now where Democrats on the committee are now refusing to participate in hearings, and even to read the intelligence they have been provided which demonstrates that the Trump Transition Team was indeed under surveillance by the Obama Administration. Saul Alinsky would be proud.

It was the bet to end all bets, and ultimately a man's life. A 23-year-old man died from alcohol poisoning after chugging an entire bottle of tequila in a Dominican nightclub. Kelvin Rafael Mejía decided to down the lot as part of a friendly wager between friends. The insane bet was all caught on camera and then posted online.

Next week, a group of patriots, who happen to be Hispanic, will gather to celebrate the inauguration of President-elect Donald J. Trump. It will be the kind of moment that runs counter to the narratives of the political and the media elite, but to those of us in the room, our celebration makes perfect sense. If news of our inauguration party surprises you, recall that 29 percent of the Hispanic vote went to Trump. Remember, too, that Latinos are feeling the sharp pain of economic adversity that Trump has convincingly promised to change. Remember also that one of the great...

Hillary Clinton Takes Natural Desiccated Thyroid Posted on August 3, 2015 A letter was released by Hillary Clinton's doctor, Lisa Bardack, MD, disclosing among other things, Hillary is taking natural desiccated thyroid pills for hypothyroidism, and she has a Calcium Score of zero. She also takes vitamin B12. Dr Lisa Bardack declared Hillary "fit to serve as president." Perhaps Dr Lisa Bardack prescribes natural thyroid for Hillary Clinton because it is a better thyroid medication. And perhaps Dr Lisa Barack prescribes natural thyroid for Hillary Clinton in spite of the opposition of the Endocrine Society Position_Statement which says natural desiccated...
  • Tequila Regulates Insulin-Like Signaling and Extends Life Span in Drosophila melanogaster

Abstract The aging process is a universal phenomenon shared by all living organisms. The identification of longevity genes is important in that the study of these genes is likely to yield significant insights into human senescence. In this study, we have identified Tequila as a novel candidate gene involved in the regulation of longevity in Drosophila melanogaster. We have found that a hypomorphic mutation of Tequila (Teq f01792), as well as cell-specific downregulation of Tequila in insulin-producing neurons of the fly, significantly extends life span. Tequila deficiency–induced life-span extension is likely to be associated with reduced insulin-like signaling, because Tequila...

A 15-foot-tall Agave plant is blooming and drawing crowds to the Dallas Arboretum. The Arboretum says the Agave victoriae-reginae is 20 years old and this will be the only time it blooms in its lifetime. Once it finishes blooming, the plant will die, but not before sowing seeds for the next generation. The plant just started opening up and will bloom in the Garden's Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden for two to four weeks. Agave victoriae-reginae plant is endangered in its native Sierra Madre mountain range of Chihuahua, Mexico.
  • Missouri Bar Draws Criticism for Michael Brown Tequila Shot Special

Mug Shots Pub, a St. Joseph bar that touts itself as a spot “where sarcasm is always free,” has faced public scrutiny after offering a Michael Brown shot special over the weekend. The “Michael Brown special” – six shots of Jose Cinge for $10 – faced criticism on both social media and from protesters after the Mug Shots bar offered the deal Friday, WDAF-TV reports. At least one of the bar owners apologized for the deal after a photo of the special’s ad surfaced on social media outlets. “It’s not meant to cause any harm,” he told WDAF on Saturday....

¡Ay caramba! Imagine the cries of offensive ethnic stereotyping or worse if Fox News had observed Cinco de Mayo by having one of its yanqui persons of pallor staggering across the set in a sombrero while chugging from a pint bottle of tequila? But it happened on MSNBC, so the PC police probably won't make a peep about it. At the today's transition from Way Too Early to Morning Joe, there was producer Louis Burgdorf with his Halloween-store sombrero and pint bottle. Way Too Early host Thomas Roberts encouraged Burgdorf "to drink the whole thing and eat the worm," meaning...

Tequila shots may do more than lighten the mood at a party; the drink may be beneficial for your health as well. According to researchers from Mexico, natural sugars derived from the agave plant, called agavins, greatly protected a group of mice against diet-induced obesity and type 2 diabetes, MedPage Today reported. […] Because agavins act as dietary fibers and do not raise blood sugar, the researchers believe the ingredient could be used as an alternative sweetening agent. …

The New York Times today published a story online by Nick Bilton about Twitter’s early days that’ll be in the paper’s Sunday magazine. The piece by Bilton, a Times tech reporter and the author of a book on the founding of Twitter, contains a slew of interesting tidbits, but the things I found most amusing were the tidbits about the people who tried to buy Twitter in its early days. Al Gore pitched Williams and Stone one night over copious amounts of wine and Patron tequila at his St. Regis suite in San Francisco. Steve Ballmer, the chief executive of...

How to Kill a Parasitic Worm Living Inside of You Parasitic worms are the stuff of nightmares — worms as big as twelve feet long can rummage through your intestines, and then leave in the middle of the night. Urban legends tell tales of tapeworms carried by diet pills. Some of the weird schemes for removing these parasites include a combination of duct tape, candy bars, and bodily orifices. Taking shots of tequila has taken on new meaning. Elaborate glass tequila bottles in red, blue and white — shaped like pistols, AK-47s, rifles, machetes and bullets — have been surfacing in the Rio Grande Valley in the past year or so. The bottles — in sharp contrast to the clean lines and curves and the rich colors of more traditional tequila bottles — have been around for years in Mexico, where they are made. David Hernandez, founder of the Holiday Wine & Liquor stores in the Rio Grande Valley, said the weapon-shaped bottles appeal primarily to collectors. "There are...

Agave a better biofuel than sugar cane Agave produces a highly-efficient intoxicant, as anyone who’s woken up “Wasting Away in Margaritaville” can attest. According to a joint Sydney University / Oxford University study, the plant could also be a highly-efficient feedstock for biofuels... [Agave is] an arid plant, which means it’s suitable for regions where food crops are at best marginal... By moving ethanol feedstock away from high-quality farmland, agave-driven ethanol production would therefore solve one of the conundrums of biofuels: the accusation that corn- or sugar-based ethanol production displaces food production... Study of a trial plantation near the regional...

Two years ago, when Los Angeles businessman Alejandro Viecco visited the agave-fields surrounding the Mexican town of Tequila—where the eponymous liquor is made—he made a startling discovery. The process of making tequila, it turns out, can be as messy, smelly and disgusting as the aftermath of drinking too much of it. “When you go to [the town of] Tequila, there’s this beautiful fresh spring water coming through the lava rock,” he says. “Then not that far away you have this waste that’s being dumped. It has hot alcohol content and it’s destroying everything in its path. If you looked at...

California's colonization by illegal aliens with a well-known penchant for driving drunk may put an end to the inconvenience of DUI checkpoints, which moonbat activists deem to be racist: Two local advocate groups for undocumented immigrants have publicly accused the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sherriff's Department of using DUI checkpoints to legally seize thousands of cars. The Southern California Immigration Coalition and the South Central Neighborhood Council claim DUI checkpoints are strategically placed in and around Hispanic communities as a trap to catch unlicensed and undocumented drivers. "In one impound, four cars were impounded because...
