Ah optics, the only thing Joe Bidens’ asterisk administration seems concerned with. This shouldn’t surprise us given who his mentor was- but now, the cake has at last truly been taken. Kamala Harris is finally visiting the border- and being given a steady round of applause by the legacy media for doing so, even if three months belatedly.
There’s only one glaring problem. Kamala will be visiting El Paso, which is one thousand miles away from the main border crisis and the locations of some of the most overrun border facilities, which happen to be in the same region I was in for several months when I visited Texas many years ago- namely the Donna area. This scenic zone of suburban sprawl is sandwiched between McAllen on one side and the Port Isabel-South Padre Island area on the other. Those famous kids in cages? Kamala won’t be anywhere near them. Texas is so big it’s like a whole other country, they say- she’ll be almost as far away from the problem in El Paso as she would be if she were in a corn field in Kansas. In Mexico, when they have invited High Level visitors, they pick the site they want them to site, white wash walls, pick up trash, and let elected leaders SEE, what they WANT them to see.

I really suspect it will not be much more than a well scripted drive by with a hand picked group of lapdog media in attendance that will ask questions from a script that has probly already been written.

I did not think that Chameleon Harris could be shamed into anything. But since the REAL President is visiting the border soon, she had to get her chops in. When anybody questions her now, she can break into her familiar laugh and say, “Well, now I have!” or some such sassy retort. But no response of any intellectual content.
Just a new way to deflect the “jornalists”, who will compliantly fall back in line.
Trump should go the same day and show who draws the biggest crowd.
Oh, that makes me feel SO much better.
Better that she visit a Taco Bell in Washinton, D.C.,
and claim that she got the flavor of what is happening at the border.
It has the same accuracy !
Then, she’s off to spend a semester in Europe!
