  • Scarborough To Guest: Being Interviewed By Me, Not Mika, Was 'Sloppy Seconds'

Has Morning Joe sunk to a new vulgarity low? On today's show, Joe Scarborough told a guest that being interviewed by himself rather than Mika Brzezinski represented "sloppy seconds." Scarborough's crude comment was made in response to Walter Isaacson's complaint, after his previous appearance on the show, that Mika had not been present and he had to content himself with Joe. "Sloppy seconds, horrible," said Scarborough. H/t Mike S. View the video here.

A major CNN morning news anchor who left the network last month amid a ratings slide is now set to join Fox News Channel, TVNewser.com reports. John Roberts, who anchored CNN “American Morning,” was originally set to join CNN’s Atlanta bureau after he moved there to be closer to his fiance and fellow CNN reporter Kyra Phillips. But instead of setting up shop at CNN, he’ll be reporting for Fox from the same city. TVNewser.com says Roberts will be “reporting on major domestic and international stories for the network.” A news veteran, he joined CNN in 2006 after spending 14...

CNN’s John Roberts is expected to join FOX News Channel as a senior national correspondent based in Atlanta and will be reporting on major domestic and international stories for the network. Roberts came up the ranks of CBS News, often filling in for then Evening News anchor Dan Rather, and was most recently co-host of CNN’s American Morning. Roberts very recently left that show, and CNN altogether, amid major changes at American Morning. Some industry insiders are sure to see this as somewhat of a coup for Fox News, as Roberts will shore up the news side of FNC’s news...

ROBERTS: OK. So the wife says repeatedly, stop this. Turn off the camera. Do you think if you had stopped taping, the altercation could have been prevented? Did you push her too far? MATTES: We would have been dead. They came -- she came with a gun. They came to bushwhack us. We didn't intend to see them. We were on private property of other people who had been harassed by them, had restraining orders against them. She trespassed on private property to claim that we were interfering with her life. She invaded our personal space and then threatened us...

Last week, with a brand-new set freshly loaded into its studio, CBS News started doing daily run-throughs with Katie Couric in the anchor chair—a “shadow show,” as news division president Sean McManus described it to me, that will continue until they go live September 5. Finally. It was way back in 2004, more than half-an-Iraq-war ago, that Dan Rather admitted he was leaving the CBS Evening News, and Les Moonves, the CBS chairman, started sniffing around Couric. But the extended interregnum (a function of Couric’s NBC contract, which expired only three months ago) was undoubtedly worth it for CBS. Making...

By DAVID BAUDER AP Television Writer NEW YORK Veteran CBS White House correspondent John Roberts, snubbed by his network during the long search for Dan Rather's successor, has jumped to CNN. Roberts, 49, has been CBS News' chief White House correspondent for six years, and anchored the Sunday edition of the "CBS Evening News" for more than 10 years. CBS REPORTER TO WHITE HOUSE: ALITO 'SLOPPY SECONDS?' Mon Oct 31 2005 11:26:56 ET CBSNEWS Chief White House correspondent John Roberts described the President’s selection of Judge Samuel Alito as “sloppy seconds” during today’s press gaggle with White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan. John Roberts: “So, Scott, you said that -- or the President said, repeatedly, that Harriet Miers was the best person for the job. So does that mean that Alito is sloppy seconds, or what?” Scott McClellan: “Not at all, John.” Sloppy seconds” is described in the United Kingdom’s A Dictionary of Slang as: Noun: “A subsequent indulgence...

First of all, I am not some internet idiot or troll. I am a licensed psychotherapist and family counselor with over 22 years experience. If you want me to fax credentials, contact me here: doctormichaelsmith@mymail.ph I come here because I am not sure where else to go. I honestly think President Bush is on the verge of a complete meltdown. He is displaying advanced stage dry drunk behavior, and needs to be placed in rehab immediately. He really would be better off if he was still drinking. Now, I know what you are thinking. But that's not the case. As...

Imagine if you dropped your diary on the sidewalk somewhere and the next thing you know it's national news. (ed. note-all her life tales were available publicly on a weblog, put there by her!) The National Enquirer offered me $20,000.00 for an interview today. But I said no. I have nothing to say that has not already been said, so they started low balling me down to $5,000.00! Took a long lunch at The Palm Steakhouse with a lovely woman from the Washington Post Magazine. Not talking to the 'Reliable Source' column anymore. Leiby implied I had the AIDS bug...
