Five people were shot in Northeastern Washington, DC, Friday night at 9:00 o’clock after a “dispute between known parties,” according to DC’s Metropolitan Police Department. WUSA9 noted that two of the five victims were transported to hospitals via ambulances, while the others self-transported. The MPD described the shooting victims as “conscious and breathing.”

Fifty-one-year-old Troy Williams has been arrested in connection with allegedly shooting at officers and also shooting a Georgia State Police K-9, WSB-TV reported on Friday. State Troopers pulled Williams over for an “obscured license plate” Wednesday. Williams took off after handing a driver’s license to a trooper and a chase ensued. At some point Williams alleged fired at pursuing officers and then fled into woods on foot. One of Williams’ gunshots allegedly hit K-9 Amor in the leg.

The CEO of UnitedHealth was fatally shot in the chest Wednesday morning outside the Hilton hotel in Midtown in what police say was a targeted attack. Brian Thompson, 50, was at the hotel at around 6:46 a.m. when a masked man fired at the CEO and fled eastbound off of 6th Avenue, police sources told The Post. Thomas was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A police officer was shot and fatally wounded in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park Friday morning around 9:30 a.m. CBS News identified the officer as 40-year-old Oak Park Police Detective Allan Reddins, and he was declared deceased at 10:10 a.m. ABC 7 noted that Reddins responded to call about a person with a gun leaving a bank. Shots were fired upon Reddins’ arrival on scene.

One suspect is in custody and a second remains on the loose after a retired Chicago police sergeant was shot multiple times Monday morning. A 17-year-old is in custody after eight people were shot, two of them fatally, just after 1 a.m. Friday in Orlando, Florida. FOX 13 reported the incident occurred near an area where “hundreds of people were celebrating Halloween at bars, clubs, and restaurants.” There was the sound of gunfire followed, minutes later, by more gunfire. A New York state trooper was shot in the leg during a traffic stop on a Long Island parkway Wednesday night, sources and authorities said. The shooting unfolded around 11:30 p.m. on the Southern State Parkway near Exit 17, according to state police and sources. The trooper had pulled over a black Dodge Charger and during the car stop they were shot by a person in the vehicle, according to sources.

Two NYPD cops were shot and wounded — including one hit in the chest — during a shootout in Brooklyn’s Brownsville neighborhood Sunday afternoon, law enforcement sources said. The sources said two suspects were also shot in the exchange of gunfire but the circumstances are not immediately clear. One of the suspects was a woman who was reportedly struck in the head, the sources said.

Cell phone video shows a pro-Palestinian protester getting shot upon charging across the street, allegedly to tackle a supporter of Israel. A 57-year-old woman was fatally shot in the face in front of her son while trying to defend her husband from a pair of robbers who followed him into their lower Manhattan condo building Monday night. Breitbart News reported that two people were shot to death during a five hour window of violence in Chicago on Sunday morning. A 47-year-old man was fatally shot inside a Brooklyn subway station Wednesday night, according to police. The victim was on the mezzanine level of the Rockaway Avenue station on the C line near the MetroCard machines when he was shot in the head shortly after 11 p.m., police and sources said. A man has been arrested in the fatal shooting of 21-year-old University of Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnast Kara Welsh in an apartment off campus, authorities said. PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Four people were shot on Virginia State University’s campus Wednesday in the early hours. According to the Chesterfield County Police Department, at 12:36 a.m., officers responded to a reported shooting outside the university’s Daniel Gymnasium. When officers arrived, they found four people shot. All four were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
