Authorities have ruled the mysterious deaths of twin 19-year-old brothers found fatally shot on a Georgia mountain a double suicide.
The bodies of Qaadir Malik Lewis and Naazir Rahim Lewis from Lawrenceville, a suburb of Atlanta, were discovered on March 8 around 90 miles away in Hiawassee, at the summit of Bell Mountain, close to the North Carolina border.
The teens had planned to fly to Boston to visit their friends on the morning of March 7, but 24 hours later, they were found dead in a remote part of the state they had never visited before, their family said.

It’s very sad and will likely always be a matter of intense confusion for the family. I only saw short articles about it, never anything going into much depth.
I suspect the twins must have had some form of depression, but had not let the family know how bad things had become.
Probably one twin actually had the problem, and he somehow talked his brother into believing the same thing.
Another rough issue: The family will have to get used to seeing articles and photographs about their two sons on the internet. They will have to get used to reading people’s idle speculations on what really happened.
Once a Search Party was formed, it became a public event.
Not right, but maybe the loss of privacy could not be avoided.

It is sad and the very sad part is this... Suicide is a long term solution to a short term problem. Wait until tomorrow, because there’s always another day.
I’ve never experienced any serious depression so I really can’t relate, but I can’t imagine killing myself for any reason... Even because pain. My father always said that pain is a an acute reminder that you’re still alive.

Wasn’t their a set of twins who shot themselves at a gun range a few years ago?
To me it sounds like the one teen, who had the ticket to fly to Boston may have accidentally shot his brother and then killed himself afterwards because of guilt

Not even for a second. Two black twins drive to a Georgia sundown town (don’t let the sun go down on your Bl#@k a#@) they never heard of. Hike up a mountain, fire one gun concurrently 🤔 and then wipe the gun clean. (No prints were found on the gun).
What did they have to be suicidal about? Nothing as far as anyone knows. I saw a video of both of them strolling out of the airport not just one.
The hiker who found them has never been interviewed by the press. His name was never even published. I don’t think they even said what type of gun was found. There was never a press conference. No details about wounds or time of death. Not a word from the medical examiner. Autopsy never released.
I’m guessing the parents will not accept that conclusion, but that’s just my opinion.

Sometimes the reason is shame.
Sometimes it can even be an unknown health condition that causes deep inexplicable depression.
Heart disease can create an unceasing sense of doom in a person who is totally unaware they even have a heart problem. So can infections like gangrene in an organ.
