If you have been reading the All-Star pages of AMW.COM carefully you know we said the 2006 AMW All-Star would be revealed Saturday, May 13. But after months of nominations and voting, when the results were tallied we just couldn't wait. Thousands of votes were cast over the last two weeks for each finalist. The competition was tough -- each finalist an All-Star in a unique way. There was much debate here at AMW over who the public would cast the most votes for. Sheriff David B. Shoar of St. Johns County has been voted one of the 8 National finalists to compete in "Amercia's Most Wanted" All Star competition. You can vote for him by going to the following link http://www.amw.com/allstar/2006/detail.cfm?id=721 and click “vote” under his picture. The voting runs until May 8, 2006 with the winner being announced shortly afterwards. The winner will receive $10,000. Sheriff Shoar has committed to donating the $10,000 if he wins to Deputy Steve Bailey of the Sheriff's Office as he copes with a seriously disabling medical condition.
