Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH) Says No New Hampshirites Lost Their Policies Under ObamaCare
-
ABC News: "I think it's strangling us," Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH) said. "They're in the halls of Congress everywhere, and it means, for example, that you sit on a committee and you say something about concern about Chinese influence or something, you don't even know if in the next election, somehow or another, they manage to send some money to some group that now doesn't even have to say where they got it."

Rep. Tim Walz, D-Minn., explained why people were upset over ObamaCare this way, “They just didn’t understand how we could save money on this by adding more people to the system.” Sounds like Walz is making a withdrawal from SNL's Change Bank, somehow producing profits from "volume." But Walz, who hails from Minnesota’s First District, isn’t the most vulnerable of incumbents, so he may not have to improve his explanation of why he voted for ObamaCare to survive. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, D-N.H., on the other hand, is a prime GOP target. By the looks of her recent town hall meeting,...

Here is video of Democrat Rep. Carol Shea-Porter at a New Hampshire Town Hall Meeting on April 1, 2010. When Shea-Porter claimed ObamaCare will help "reduce the deficit," constituents laughed at her and mocked her claim. You wonder how many Democrats are going to get this very reception at home?

I called her office this morning, identified myself by name as a constituent and politely asked what her vote would be. Here is the verbatim response: "I do not have that information at this time." I am so mad I could spit! THIS is what qualifies as leadership and representation in the modern Democrat Party. If this goes through via "Deem and Pass" - revolution!

Voters appear to have soured on embattled New Hampshire Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter after a series of bizarre antics have made her the subject of widespread derision in Washington and New Hampshire. According to a new poll by the University of New Hampshire only 35% of likely voters approve of the job Shea-Porter is doing in Congress. 40% disapprove. 24% are neutral or don’t know for sure how they feel. Even worse, all potential Republican candidates for Congress – even the lesser-known candidates – would defeat her if the election were held today. Former Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta performs best against...

As the anger over the nation's movement towards socialism grows, Democrats' patience with town hall meeting protesters is clearly wearing thin. On Saturday, Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH) instructed security guards to escort what ended up being a retired New York City patrolman out of a fiery Manchester gathering. Removed from the forum because he continually interrupted Shea-Porter and others in Manchester was Carl Tomanelli of Londonderry, who objected when her staff passed out health care stickers before the event began. He also objected that people outside Shea-Porter's Congressional district were in the room, including a young man who could not...

There's still the better part of a year to go, but prospects for some GOP House seat pickups in New Hampshire look pretty healthy: According to a new poll by the University of New Hampshire only 35% of likely voters approve of the job [Rep. Carol] Shea-Porter is doing in Congress. 40% disapprove. 24% are neutral or don’t know for sure how they feel. Even worse, all potential Republican candidates for Congress — even the lesser-known candidates — would defeat her if the election were held today. Former Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta performs best against Shea-Porter, defeating her in a...

Here is video of Democrat Rep. Carol Shea-Porter telling an audience that both Democrat and Republican women in Congress have been "incredibly disrespected." She went on to say that when the women in Congress go to the bathroom, they look at each other and just "roll their eyes" at what the men are saying on the Floor of the House. Shea-Porter said that a Republican woman in Congress said: If we could just "send the men home, we could get this thing (a Health Care Bill) done this weekend." . . . (VIDEO)

"If I can't get a hold of you now, what is it going to be like when you're running health care and I have an emergency?"

This is a curious re-election strategy, especially for a Representative who made her name by bird-dogging her former Congressman at his town-hall forums. Consistency isn’t Carol Shea-Porter’s strong suit, apparently, as she demonstrates in this clip from the meeting she finally held with constituents after dodging them for most of the month. When one of her constituents challenges the presence of union enforcers in the crowd, Shea-Porter asks for police intervention: (VIDEO AT LINK) I’ve watched this video a couple of times, and I still can’t figure out why the police took this man out of the room. He was...

Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH) held a town hall yesterday in Portsmouth, NH. She told her "teabagger" constituents that they can't believe everything they hear and that there are no communists in Washington DC. GraniteGrok posted the video:

Here is audio of New Hampshire Democrat Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter telling a caller on a radio program, "The Constitution does not cover everything." She made the statement in answer to a caller who questioned where Congress thinks they have the authority to propose legislation like ObamaCare. Shea-Porter rattled off a litany of things she said were "not in the Constitution," and then made the summary statement, "The Constitution does not cover everything." Actually, it does provide clear principles to cover everything, the most basic of all principles that people ought to be free, and government is to be limited in...

In what can only be a false statement, Rep. Shea-Porter claims that her constituents would "love" to wait in line to receive medical care. With news that the Senate will not be considering Health Care legislation until after the August recess, Shea-Porter will now be able to spend a nice month in New Hampshire where she will surely be getting the good treatment that she deserves for making comments like this. Watch the video at NetRightNation.com

“I just wanted to make a couple of comments. I heard one of my colleagues say ‘waiting in line,’ that people would be waiting in line for medical care. I would like to say that many of my constituents would love to wait in line for medical care,” Rep. Shea-Porter stated. “They are yanked out of line because they don’t have coverage.”

Shooting blanks: Shea-Porter and guns REP. CAROL Carol Shea-Porter has a gun problem. Specifically, she seems unsure of her position on the 2nd Amendment. She has always proclaimed herself a supporter of the 2nd Amendment's declaration that "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." It is what she thinks that statement means, however, that is unclear. For years, the District of Columbia has prohibited its residents from owning handguns. Dick Heller, a D.C. special police officer, and five other residents sued, and the case went before the U.S. Supreme Court last month. Every...

US Representative Carol Shea-Porter defied all odds to become the first female US Representative from the Granite State of New Hampshire and assembled one of the most influencial political machines in New England has reportedly endorsed Senator Barack Obama at a time when analysts are reporting the fact that the tide could turn against the Senator from New York, Hillary Clinton.

Jeanne Shaheen and U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, two women declaring themselves ready to lead the country to continued Democratic victory...She had originally planned to spend Sunday with her daughter. Instead, Shaheen's husband, Bill, was driving their daughter back to the airport so she could return to her home in the fire-ravaged region of California. "These wildfires are a direct result of this administration's failure to do something about global warming," Shaheen said with passion and to applause as the microphone cut out on her.

HOUSE SPEAKER Nancy Pelosi was in New Hampshire last week to sing the praises of 1st District Rep. Carol Shea-Porter. She gushed about Shea-Porter, and no wonder. In the representative from Rochester, Pelosi has a guaranteed rubber-stamp vote. New Hampshire Republicans are calling Shea-Porter and 2nd District Rep. Paul Hodes the "Pelosi twins," and it's a fitting name. After criticizing their predecessors for voting too much with President Bush, Shea-Porter and Hodes have wound up voting with Pelosi 99 percent of the time. (They vote with each other 98 percent of the time.) Shea-Porter, a self-proclaimed independent voice in Washington,...
