Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)’ campaign on Friday unveiled a list of actors, directors, musicians and tech industry players and who have endorsed the independent Vermont Senator and self-described socialist’s bid for the presidency. Actors Will Ferrell, Jeremy Piven, John C. Reilly, Danny DeVito, and Sarah Silverman are among the 128 “artists and cultural leaders” that have put their names to an open letter calling for Sanders to be the Democrat presidential nominee.

Patti Davis, daughter of late President Ronald Reagan and Nancy Reagan, penned an open letter Thursday to Will Ferrell, criticizing the actor for agreeing to play the 40th president in an upcoming satirical film about his battle with dementia. “I saw the news bulletin — as did everyone — that you intend to portray my father in the throes of Alzheimer’s for a comedy that you are also producing,” Ms. Davis, a former actress, wrote in her blog. “Perhaps you have managed to retain some ignorance about Alzheimer’s and other versions of dementia. Perhaps if you knew more, you would...

Left-wing Hollywood celebrities are putting their star power behind the runoffs, with cast reunions of popular movies and TV shows helping to rake in the cash. The latest effort comes from Will Ferrell and Zooey Deschanel, who will lead a cast reunion of the 2003 movie Elf to raise money for Georgia Democrats. The livestream event, set for Sunday, will also feature Elf-costars Bob Newhart, Edward Asner, Mary Steenburgen, Amy Sedaris, Jon Favreau, and Andy Richter. Noticeably absent from the line-up is James Caan, who played Ferrell’s biological father in the original movie.

It seems that New York Times writer Patrick Healy has a big fascination with the word "penis." He uses it over and over and over again in his article about how actor Will Ferrell exposes a projected penis on stage in his play, "You're Welcome, America. A Final Night With George W. Bush." The New York Times must be really desperate if they have to resort to "penis" overuse to get their circulation numbers up. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Healy's story conference with the Theater section editors resembled a certain scene from the movie, "Porky's." When reading...

Saturday Night Live closed out its 51st season on Saturday night, where Will Ferrell returned to host the long-running sketch comedy series... where he portrayed a ghostly Jeffrey Epstein... “Don’t worry, Donald, it’s me, your best friend, Jeffrey Epstein,” he said. “Jeffrey, I thought you were dead,” Johnson’s Trump replied. “I am, remember? I killed myself. Wink!” “You know me, I keep busy, mahjong every Wednesday with Stalin and John Wayne Gacy. That guy has stories,” Ferrell’s Epstein said... Trump gave him a run-down on his “fun summer plans,” ...“Well, you know, we’ve got the World Cup UFC fight on...

U.S. — A federal judge ordered the release of Jeffrey Epstein's purported suicide note, which oddly appears to have been written on Hillary Clinton's personal stationery. According to sources close to the investigation, the stationery was discovered neatly folded on Epstein's bed and prominently featured Clinton's official State Department letterhead, complete with embossed seal and matching monogram. "It's the darndest thing," said FBI Agent Tom Halleck. "There's just no telling how Epstein could have gotten a hold of Ms. Clinton's stationery. Why did he choose that particular piece of paper for recording his final thoughts? Quite the riddle we have...

Former president Bill Clinton has revealed that he regrets ever having met with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. In his new book 'Citizen', which is scheduled to come out next week, Clinton, now 78, described his interactions with the convicted pedophile. The excerpts, first reported by The US Sun, show him admitting that he had flown on Esptein's private jet, the Lolita Express, in 2002 and 2003.

Newly unsealed documents reveal the disgraced financier had been using a catchphrase from a 1931 ‘Our Gang’ short for years before it appeared in his purported final note.Among the stranger threads running through the Epstein files is a minor obsession with The Little Rascals. The connection first drew attention this week, when a federal judge unsealed a handwritten note purportedly written by Epstein in July 2019, roughly three weeks before his death, following a suspected suicide attempt at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan. The note ends with the phrase, “Whatcha want me to do — Bust out cryin!!” The...

A suicide note purportedly written by the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is locked inside the case file of his former cellmate, convicted quadruple murderer Nicholas Tartaglione, who told The New York Times it was written on paper from a yellow legal pad and tucked inside a book. According to the Times, Tartaglione found the note in July 2019, after Epstein unsuccessfully tried to kill himself -- about two weeks before Epstein died by suicide in his lower Manhattan jail cell. snip Tartaglione first mentioned the existence of the purported suicide note in a podcast last year. "It said something...

Catholicism — is suddenly everywhere: with social media influencers, a documented rise in converts and even a Hollywood swell. The new podcast “Catholics and Cappuccinos,” hosted by actress and former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Siobhan Fallon Hogan, offers insight with revelatory conversations with celebs and influential priests... “This is why the podcast works — because it’s not preachy,” ... “It’s just talking to people about their faith journey... I recently discovered the pod when a clip hit my Instagram. In it, Fallon Hogan was talking to James about how she used to attend Mass with her “very faithful” SNL...

"Somebody stole something… and the number-one suspect is Black Snape?"Saturday Night Live is diving headfirst into the discourse surrounding one of Harry Potter's most controversial casting choices. During the sketch show's latest "Weekend Update" segment, Kam Patterson stepped into the role of Professor Snape — a nod to the upcoming HBO series casting a Black actor, Paapa Essiedu, to play the previously white character — and like many Potter fans and critics, SNL had some interesting observations to share about the decision. "Good evening, Mr. Jost," Patterson began, appearing as Snape and trying out a faux-British accent. Immediately dropping...

“Saturday Night Live UK” has been slammed for a distasteful joke aimed at Meta owner and CEO Mark Zuckerberg. “It’s been revealed that Meta billionaire Mark Zuckerberg is building a bunker under his compound in California,” said “Weekend Update” co-host Ania Magliano. “And I hope he uses that bunker in exactly the same way Hitler did,” she added, prompting shocked reactions from the live audience. The joke referenced the Führerbunker, an underground air-raid shelter near the Reich Chancellery in Berlin, where Adolf Hitler spent his final 105 days, ultimately committing suicide on April 30, 1945.

Clearly, the “Saturday Night Live” writing team had a lot of work to do on Saturday, as they opened the show with a sketch about President Trump’s early morning attack on Iran. In the Feb. 28 cold open, Trump (played by James Austin Johnson) gives a press conference about the military action. “It’s me, Donald Trump, FIFA Peace Prize winner and Nobel Peace Prize taker,” he began. “Remember that? I launched this attack after me and my board of peace…we were bored of peace. As we all know, Iran has been two weeks away from developing a nuclear weapon for...

Megyn Kelly faced backlash during the cold open of Saturday Night Live, as she appeared to defend late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's behavior by implying that he preferred the “barely legal type” and was not a pedophile. After the Trump impersonator addressed another inquiry concerning his association with Epstein, he justified his stance and referenced Kelly's comments: “I thought Megyn Kelly made a terrific point this week, she said Epstein's not a pedophile.” “Terrific thing to just say out of nowhere. Great Job Megyn, we love Megyn, they should put her back on TV. Legalize Megyn!” The audience present in...

"They're taking Lloyd Dobyns off" That's how I felt about the move by NBC to introduce its new live Saturday night show bi-weekly alongside the newsmagazine "Weekend". "Weekend" was a show I had enjoyed during the previous 1974-75 season every week. I liked watching Lloyd Dobyns and his attempt to bring some attitude to television news... I read about this newfangled NBC Saturday Night Live show in the newspaper much hype about the reunion of Simon and Garfunkel which came on the second show in the series later in October. In all honesty I didn't watch the first show and...

Rapper Bad Bunny responded to the backlash surrounding the NFL’s decision to book him for this year’s Super Bowl Halftime show as he kicked off the 51st season of “Saturday Night Live.” The 31-year-old Puerto Rican native, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, said he was “excited” to be named the headlining act for the big game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara in February, but urged critics they have “four months to learn” Spanish. “I’m really excited to be doing the Super Bowl, I know that people all around the world who love my music are also...
