Catholicism — is suddenly everywhere: with social media influencers, a documented rise in converts and even a Hollywood swell.
The new podcast “Catholics and Cappuccinos,” hosted by actress and former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Siobhan Fallon Hogan, offers insight with revelatory conversations with celebs and influential priests...
“This is why the podcast works — because it’s not preachy,” ... “It’s just talking to people about their faith journey...
I recently discovered the pod when a clip hit my Instagram. In it, Fallon Hogan was talking to James about how she used to attend Mass with her “very faithful” SNL co-star, the late Chris Farley. She also recalled his memorial at St. Malachy’s. In a sea of megastars with the gift of gab, who would eulogize him?
It was a shut-in whom Farley would regularly visit and bring food..."He was so humble." ...

While Catholicism is forgiving, Fallon Hogan’s industry is not. The mother of three credits her religion as a source of hope and stability....
James revealed that he fasted for 40 days while praying for his daughter to weather a difficult period. Moriarty recalled how, after being nominated for an Academy Award for “Raging Bull,” she flew to Europe instead of playing the Hollywood game.
The church has undeniable cultural momentum...Across the country, young people and families are converting or returning to the faith...The average Catholic diocese has seen a 38% increase in 2026 over last year.
The actress doesn’t read the comments, but she’s heard her podcast inspired someone to return to Mass and attracted Protestant listeners...

God didn’t seem to get a mention in the headline nor article.

The Holy Spirit works quietly.
Perhaps liberals have figured out how liberal the recent popes are. Especially when the pope criticizes Trump. He becomes their hero leading them into a new spiritual journey that could combine with yoga.
I was assuming that all the articles on the growth of Catholicism was speaking of a general population. And couldn’t figure out what that was about. This article makes it make more sense.
That was a good SNL cast. I’ve hardly watched it since those days, but somehow I don’t think I’m missing much.

this article is not about God.
Yep.
It’s another in a series we’ve seen in the last 48 hours describing the same thing: wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction.
Apparently some of the lost believe salvation is the result of both works and popularity.
Are they joining the church which celebrates LGBTQ values, or allows pedophilic priests to be transferred to other dioceses and not kicked out, and be prosecuted by secular law enforcers?? Or the church which preaches salvation by the forgiveness of real distinct sins by Jesus Christ? And by imitating Christ in all ways?
“…this article is not about God.”
Oh geeze.
You typed, “Oh geeze.”
It’s spelled J-E-S-U-S.
Look it up.
The Roman Catholic faith is not the catholic faith..
“The Roman Catholic faith is not the catholic faith..”
Yes. That’s why I have no problem reading those creeds in church. If it were a capital “c” than I wouldn’t. Big difference between Catholic and catholic.

Maybe the attraction is the ritual?
