Rupert Murdoch, the Chairman and CEO of Fox News Corp. is joining other business giants to form a coalition pushing for immigration reform, including amnesty. Sean Hannity was to appear at a Cincinnati TEA Party. Murdoch cancelled the invitation, so Sean, the host of an opinion show - not a news anchor - has been silenced on the Tea Party movement.

A couple of week's ago, I blogged about Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal's charm-blitz through NY, juxtaposing Fox News' Neil Cavuto's sweetheart interview with "the prince" and Charlie Rose's far more revealing conversation -- essentially, it's (everything's) all Israel's fault, and "my" 1.5 billion Muslims are all like the underpants' bomber's father. That's bad news for journalism and bad news for the country. Bad news for journalism because it further undermines the credibility of an already-distrusted media. When one newspaper openly shows its bias, all other newspapers are suspected of having their own bias.
