Hollywood actor-director Rob Reiner has deleted his X / Twitter account in the wake of President-elect Donald Trump’s resounding victory. His exit marks the end of an era for Reiner who had spent years using the platform to spread false claims and wild accusations aimed at Trump and his supporters — including repeatedly smearing them as white nationalists. Rob Reiner’s X account, which boasted 2.3 million followers, was no longer accessible as of Thursday, with the platform returning a message that the account “doesn’t exist.”

Three recent high school graduates were killed and another was seriously injured when a speeding Tesla Cybertruck crashed and burst into flames in California. The four friends were driving the futuristic-looking electric vehicle home from an event in Piedmont just after 3 a.m. Wednesday when it “jumped the curb, struck a cement wall, and then wedged in between the wall and a tree,” police told KGO News. Someone driving behind them from the same event saw the crashed truck and managed to pull one of the passengers to safety, cops told the outlet.

When it comes to staying fit, consistency is the most important factor. You can’t rely on occasional workouts to stay in shape, even if they are long and grueling. A straphanger was slugged in the face by an irate seatmate on a Manhattan-bound subway — but he managed to wrestle the “little b–ch” to the ground until cops could intervene. Alexander Rakitin, 42, was riding the N Train to his Manhattan finance job Monday morning when he sat down next to 34-year-old Timothy Barbee. As the train took off, the car jolted causing Rakitin’s knee to jostle Barbee’s — which set the alleged assailant off.

Brooke Shields considered former President George H.W. Bush such a close "confidant" that she would ask him just about anything. Shields, 59, admitted that she considered the late politician her substitute grandfather during an event to support the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy's New York Celebration of Reading event at the Lotos Club. The actress and author, who will soon publish her new book, "Brooke Shields is Not Allowed to Get Old," even had a nickname for the 41st president of the United States. "I call him Papa Bush. I was dating somebody [whose father] was an ambassador in...

A “lone ranger” thief barged into a Midtown Catholic church Wednesday and stole a $3,000 gold-plated rose from a memorial honoring the lives lost on 9/11 in a brazen “act of desecration,” according to cops and the pastor of the parish. The suspect walked into the Church of St. Francis of Assisi on West 31st Street near Seventh Avenue around 2:30 p.m. and grabbed the rose – created out of the steel from Ground Zero – a cherished part of the 9/11 Memorial Shrine, according to authorities and the Rev. Brian Jordan. “This was not only a robbery, as far...

This morning, I used duckduckgo to do a search for Trump's pick for Secretary of Transportation. This is a relatively noncontroversial appointment. Sean Duffy, a Fox News contributor and former Congressman from Wisconsin, was chosen. The first 17 picks were from liberal websites (CNN, AP, NBC, MSN, NPR, CBS, BBC, Reuters, Washington Post, USA Today, MSN, MSN, Politico, New York Times, MSN, Politico, MSN). It was not until the 18th pick that a conservative website (Redstate) came up. The search results were no better than Google, in fact even worse, as the 11th pick there was from a neutral site...

The practice of liquor distillation has existed for thousands of years, and as for the art of collecting these spirits? Some say that can be traced as far back as the 1400s. While we may not be able to enjoy a 600-year-old bottle, many spirits producers are leaning into the premium and ultra-premium trend by releasing their oldest and most impressive spirits to date. Brands like Scotland’s The Glenlivet and France’s Delamain both celebrated 200-year anniversaries with rare, small-production artisanal bottles, with hefty price tags to match. The Glenlivet 55-Year Old, the first in The Eternal Collection and the oldest...

Star Wars fans might recall Obi-Wan’s Jedi mind trick in A New Hope when he tells stormtroopers, “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.” Were Star Wars writers wrong about the placement of the preposition “for”? Should Obi-Wan instead have said, “These aren’t the droids for which you’re looking”? The latter sounds unnatural (and much more Yoda-esque, to be honest). Situations like these have caused grammar reformers to question or outright rebel against this “rule” about not ending sentences with prepositions. Prepositions explain one noun’s relation to another, often indicating where or when. They can tell you if a cat...

In a perfect world where I have endless time and energy, I get home every day and whip myself up a delicious 5-star dinner. In another perfect world where I have won the lottery, I pay a chef to do it for me... BUT I DON'T live in a perfect world, and neither, I'm guessing, do most of you. And since we're all just normal folks trying to do our best when we're tired and hungry, we mustn't overlook the convenience of the humble frozen dinner. You probably shouldn't survive on TV dinners alone, but boy do they come in...

Weight-loss drugs like Ozempic have gained popularity recently for their ability to support weight loss, which can mostly be attributed to their appetite-suppressing effects. Ozempic is in a class of drugs called GLP-1 receptor agonists, which mimic the hormone GLP-1. This slows down gastric emptying and sends signals of fullness to the brain. Basically, this means food stays in the stomach longer and tells the brain that you are full and don't need more food. This leads to less calorie consumption and, eventually, weight loss.

If there’s one thing to be learned from the Martini renaissance, it’s that everyone is looking for something different when they order the classic cocktail. There are shot-size Martinis and Martinis made by the bottle (or porrón), extra-dry regional takes and fashionably wet variations. Bartenders’ preferred gins for the drink are equally varied.

One of the pitfalls of eating out at a restaurant is that it feels nearly impossible to know exactly what you're getting when you order a dish. You may order a meal thinking it sounds healthy, but what you don't know is that it may be loaded with thousands of milligrams of sodium in order to pump up the flavor. Another common ingredient sneaking around in your favorite meals is sugar—and you may be shocked to learn just how much is in some of the highest-sugar restaurant meals at popular restaurant chains.
