The holidays are approaching and you’re the host this year. Eek! While you have the holiday menu planned to every last detail, maybe you aren’t quite sure what to feed everyone before and after Christmas.
When it comes to feeding a house full of guests, my motto is Keep It Simple. I’ll pull out all the stops for Christmas Day, but I’m Team Simple Dinner for everything else!

Spam spam spam eggs and spam.
Spam is edible but I don’t consider it real food, much less serve it to guests.
There’s all sorts of wrong with that biscuits and gravy recipe.
Spam is pork shoulder and ham. Delicious with eggs. Heat and eat. Quick and easy. Not greasy. Low sodium version tastes great too. God love you…
No ham and Great Northern beans on the list. Useless.
All good and well but I will never touch it, never have.
When I have a house full of guests I’m trying to get rid of them. :-)
I will not eat
Green eggs and Spam
Wieners and beans.
I think I would go with my corned beef and cabbage. Nothing fancy. Just cook the corned beef slowly until you can pull it apart with a fork. Add the cabbage toward the end.
Must be above lot of guests if it takes 19 meals!
(Spam spam spam eggs and spam.)
Oh yes
Not greasy? It’s glorified baloney, only with more fat.
Big ol’ pot of chili with potato salad, and a nice tossed salad with some kind of homemade dressing.
Will the local Pizza take out be open?
Obviously you were not alive during WWII...
Spam was a key food that kept our factories humming 24 hrs-per-day, 7 days-per-week, and our troops fighting...
🤣
I have tried it, and I will never have it again. I’ll stick with ham.
Save for recipes.
