An Army Black Hawk helicopter decided to take the “scenic route” near the Pentagon—and came way too close to two passenger planes trying to land in D.C. Both jets were forced to pull up at the last second—one was just 450 feet from the ground. This is the same Army brigade involved in a January crash that killed 67 people, the worst U.S. aviation disaster in over 20 years. Officials are fuming, again. And Reagan Airport? Still dealing with controller shortages, near-misses, and—oh yeah—a literal fistfight in the control tower last year. Flying into D.C. is starting to feel like...

An American Airlines flight from Boston aborted its landing at Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC, Tuesday to avoid a plane departing from the same runway. “An air traffic controller instructed American Flight 2246 to perform a go-around at Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA) Airport to ensure separation was maintained between this aircraft and a preceding departure from the same runway,” the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement. American Airlines said the flight landed “safely and normally” and described the move as standard operation to give the plane more time for the other plane to take off. “American...

Far-left Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) falsely claimed that “no president has had more planes crash in their first month in office than Donald Trump,” a statement easily debunked by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). Responding to the news of a single-engine plane that crashed shortly after takeoff from a small Georgia airport in a Saturday night incident that killed both people on board, the California congressman claimed that President Trump had the most crashes under his belt within the first month in office than any under president: However, publicly available NTSB data shows the agency investigated 55 plane accidents...

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Friday denounced President Trump for saying federal efforts to promote diversity are to blame for this week’s deadly crash between a military helicopter and a commercial passenger plane just outside Washington. Jeffries said the president’s comments were “irresponsible” and “shameful,” especially since the recovery efforts are still underway and the true cause of the crash remains unknown. “It’s a very irresponsible statement that was made by the president,” Jeffries said during a press conference in his district in Brooklyn, N.Y. “Bodies are still being pulled from the Potomac, children were killed, future ice...

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump The airplane was on a perfect and routine line of approach to the airport. The helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended period of time. It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing, why didn’t the helicopter go up or down, or turn. Why didn’t the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane. This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. NOT GOOD!!! 2.53k ReTruths 8.74k Likes Jan 30, 2025, 12:19 AM
