Sending shockwaves through the intelligence community, it was reported yesterday that newly appointed Acting DNI Richard “Ric” Grenell asked the intelligence community, specifically including Shelby Pierson, to produce the underlying intelligence within the briefing she gave to the House Intelligence Committee. Well, what do you know…. All of a sudden today, anonymous intelligence officials are reporting to CNN that Ms. Pierson “overstepped” her position, was “misleading” in her briefing, and “mischaracterized” the underlying intelligence. Imagine that. Washington (CNN)-The US intelligence community’s top election security official appears to have overstated the intelligence community’s formal assessment of Russian interference in the 2020...

The Israeli people understand the importance of national sovereignty better than most, having had to defeat numerous invasion attempts just to secure their right to exist as a nation. The recent re-election of Benjamin Netanyahu — a forceful proponent of Israeli sovereignty — to a fifth term as Prime Minister shows that Israelis remain as committed as ever to their independence. At long last, they have an ally in the White House who feels just as strongly about Israel’s right to exist. For 52 years, Israel’s national security has depended heavily on its control of the strategically vital Golan Heights. Shamefully, not...

President Trump's campaign committee announced Tuesday it has rehired former national spokeswoman Katrina Pierson to serve as a senior adviser of grassroots outreach. Pierson was Trump's first formal spokesperson after he launched his campaign in June 2015. She stayed on staff through the campaign, but later jumped to America First Policies. On Monday, Trump's personal assistant John McEntee was fired due to a problem with his background check. McEntee was also named on Tuesday to Trump's campaign, which he previously served on during the 2016 election. McEntee will now work as a senior adviser for campaign operations.

Facebook What do you do when you are snubbed by Ted Cruz? You go work for the anti-Cruz and attempt to ruin him and his wife evidently. Katrina Pierson has proven she will stop at nothing to get herself into the spotlight. Where once I thought she was a smart, sassy woman who had pulled herself up by her bootstraps, I now pity the bizarre, plastic caricature she has become. This is not the Katrina Pierson I knew. -snip- Though much ado has been made about the affair rumor being cooked up by Marco Rubio's folks, I would suggest...

Since joining the Trump campaign as a national spokeswoman in November, Katrina Pierson has served as an attack dog of sorts for Donald Trump, attempting to expose his critics and opponents as faux conservatives who are simply pulling the wool over the eyes of the American people. And yet, Ms. Pierson's own statements reveal she is a self-proclaimed devotee of Malcolm X (whom she has referred to as her "idol") and has a history of attacking conservatives as racists, sneering at Christians who are unable to "handle the truth" and mocking candidates who open up about their faith on the...

November 19, 2015 Katrina Pierson: Donald Trump's new press secretary is black Tea Party activist Staff Report Katrina Pierson is the new face on the Trump campaign. Pierson, a former Republican congressional candidate and longtime supporter of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), has found her niche with Trump’s 2016 presidential election team. Donald’s national spokeswoman, is, in typical Trump fashion, nice eye candy on the arm of the real estate mogul. But she’s much more than that, Trump says. "Katrina is a great addition to our team as we continue to expand throughout the country, "Trump said in a statement about...

Whole lotta lefty hacks out there today grumbling that the axe fell quickly for Julia Pierson only because she’s a woman. Supposedly, there’s a “glass cliff” phenomenon at work in which women executives are brought in to clean up a man’s mess and then, if they haven’t done it in some impossibly limited timeframe, they’re unfairly purged. Three problems with that. One: Per Ian Tuttle, Pierson wasn’t the first choice for the job last year. A man, former agent David O’Connor, was. Setting up Pierson for sexist reasons to take the fall for a hopeless salvage operation must have been...

Behind the shocking revelations of incompetence and unprofessionalism that rocked the Secret Service this week is a longtime reporter who has been diligently uncovering the agency's secrets for years. Carol Leonnig, a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist who has worked at The Washington Post for nearly 15 years, has broken almost every single story on the agency, a series of shocking reports that on Wednesday resulted in the abrupt resignation of Secret Service Director Julia Pierson. (Pierson called the resignation “painful.”) In less than a week, Leonnig uncovered three scandals that pushed the agency’s first female leader out the door. First,...

Secret Service Director Julia Pierson is facing bipartisan pressure to consider resigning, on the heels of her Capitol Hill testimony on major security failures that have thrown into doubt the safety of the president and his family. Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, who aggressively questioned Pierson at the House hearing, told Fox News that Pierson should either be fired or resign. Afterward, the top Democrat on the House oversight committee, Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., appeared to call for the same. He told MSNBC that he did "not feel comfortable with her in that position,” and that his confidence and trust in...

Secret Service Director Julia Pierson House should be ousted from her job, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday, agreeing with the recommendation of the top Democrat on the oversight committee. Mrs. Pelosi, the highest-ranking woman in American politics, said problems go beyond Ms. Pierson, who was put in charge of the Secret Service after a scandal involving agents who hired prostitutes in Cartagena in 2012. But Mrs. Pelosi said she accepts the analysis of Rep Elijah Cummings, the ranking Democrat on the House oversight committee, who said he was displeased with Ms. Pierson’s leadership.

Secret Service Director Julia Pierson will face questions about how an armed intruder jumped the White House fence and made it as far as the East Room when she testifies before a House committee on Tuesday. Sources confirmed to Fox News on Monday that 42-year-old Omar Gonzalez overpowered a Secret Service officer in the Sept. 19 incident -- this led to a struggle and "wrestling" inside the executive mansion as he darted through. Gonzalez was eventually tackled by a counter-assault agent in the East Room after he reached the doorway to the Green Room, a parlor overlooking the South Lawn....

In 2012, Katrina Pierson was crisscrossing Texas in her spare time to help Ted Cruz become the state’s next U.S. senator. At Republican club meetings, public rallies and on Twitter, she praised Cruz’s tenacity and commitment to repealing the Affordable Care Act.Now, in her bid to unseat U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Dallas, 58, Pierson is trying to convince voters that she possesses those same qualities and that Sessions does not. Pierson, 37, a political and media consultant, said she decided last year to challenge Sessions after she attended several meetings between him and local activists.“Everything became ‘next time’ basically —...

In one Facebook post, Pierson attacks the philosophies of economist Adam Smith who through his invisible hand theory pushed the notion that the free market was self-regulating. In another post, he describes himself as "Keynesian." "...I was wondering to all the neoclassicals and neoliberals, why isn't the market correcting itself?" he wrote. "If the invisible hand is so strong, shouldn't it be able to overpower regulations?" Pierson also appears to mock Republicans on another Facebook post, writing "you republicans are so cute" and posting an image that reads: "The Republican Party: Health Care: Let 'em Die, Climate Change: Let 'em...

Hardly a week seems to pass at Yale without some agitation group bringing up charges of grand malfeasance against the University. Exploiting the life of Martin Luther King Jr., a coalition of graduate and undergraduate students, along with local labor leaders, has accused the University of discriminatory practices in its tenure, hiring and graduate student application processes. Two weeks ago, 80 protesters appeared in the Hillhouse Avenue office of Provost Andrew Hamilton demanding to meet with him that very instant. Angered that Hamilton did not stop everything he was doing and entertain this group of unannounced "guests" on the first...
