HARRISBURG — If House Republicans are successful in getting the special elections for two Allegheny County-based House districts delayed until May, the results of a Senate special election could lead to a whole new level of chaos in the power struggle in the state House. Republicans are clinging to a 101-99 advantage, with three special elections looming in seats vacated by Democrats. If Democrats win all three of those races, as expected, the Democrats will reclaim the majority in the chamber for the first time in more than a decade. One of those special elections — to fill the vacancy...

"Parents across Pennsylvania are crying out in anguish today, wondering why they must continue to suffer after not doing anything wrong…except raising bad kids. This comes as we get closer to the November 8, 2022, midterm elections and keep learning more about Pennsylvania’s democRAT U.S. Senate candidate John Fetterman, who is the first Troll-American to run for Senate. It is also another example of how democRATs are continuing to redefine English to suit their communist utopia. What a ‘vaccine’ is and does, parents and other patriots being labeled ‘extremists’ and now ‘life in prison’ means being a parent whose kids...

With two weeks to go before the hotly contested Pennsylvania Republican Primary, a new poll shows that race is now a statistical 3-way tie between Dr. Mehmet Oz, Kathy Barnette, and Dave McCormick. (@JackPosobiec) May 9, 2022 According to the new Trafalgar Group poll, Trump endorsed Oz was at 24.5 percent, Barnette was at 23.2 percent and McCormick was at 21.6 percent in the race to be the nominee for the seat of retiring GOP Senator Pat Toomey. Celebrity Doctor Mehmet Oz, a Republican Senate candidate in Pennsylvania, recently stated, “we have to have compassion” for transgender adults when asked about transgender collegiate swimmer Lia Thomas, according to a report. Thomas, a biological male who swims for the University of Pennsylvania, has been smashing women’s records this season.

Dr. Oz asked his pal and fellow TV star Oprah Winfrey to stay out of the Pennsylvania Senate race where he is seeking the Republican nomination. “I asked her to stay out. Don’t support me because if you get involved in any way, you’ll get hurt and I don’t want my friends hurt,” Oz said. Oz made the remarks during a meet and greet with Manhattan Republican grandees at Smith & Wollensky steakhouse in midtown on Dec 16. The confab attracted around 50 people and was hosted by billionaire John Catsimatidis and his wife Margo. Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and...

When a conservative thinks about what Republican policy platforms should include, there are certain things we do not expect to see:Bail reformGun controlTransgender surgeries for childrenVaxx-nannyingThe Great ResetWhat do all of these things have in common, other than being associated with the political left? They all happen to be policies actively and aggressively promoted by “Republican” U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz. He’s running in arguably the most consequential Senate race in 2022, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, his name recognition may be enough to propel him to a primary win. We need to stop him. Here are just some of the receipts demonstrating...

Pro-LGBT talk show host Dr. Mehmet Oz announced his candidacy for a hotly-contested Senate seat in Pennsylvania next year, running as a Republican despite a history of transgender activism and support for other liberal causes. The celebrity doctor and host of The Dr. Oz Show made the announcement Tuesday and has been quickly embraced by several high-profile Republicans, including Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Kevin Cramer of North Dakota. Top GOP strategists have already joined his campaign, which appears to be gaining traction with President Donald Trump, as well. But while Oz and his supporters have tried to claim that...

Well known but his real political positions aren't. If he gets nominated we will be doing what the democrats do: putting up our pretty boy against theirs(Lamb). Pennsylvania will be difficult to keep. The more well known the better our chances. The worst he can do as a senator is stab us in the back like Toomey. Like JD Vance I think we'll have to take our chances. I sent JD Vance a few bucks. This guy needs none. Celebrities need the limelight. It's their job to make sure the money is there. What do we have to lose? Suburban...

Well-known celebrity physician Mehmet Oz on Tuesday will declare his candidacy for the Senate in Pennsylvania, joining a competitive Republican primary field in the crucial battleground state, multiple sources confirmed to Fox News. The announcement by the 61-year old Oz – a cardiac surgeon, author and host of TV’s "Dr. Oz Show" – is widely expected Tuesday afternoon as he’s already been assembling a campaign staff in the 2022 race to succeed retiring GOP Sen. Pat Toomey. Oz is expected to sit down for his first national interview as a Senate candidate on Tuesday evening on Fox News’ "Hannity." Host...

TV doctor Mehmet Oz formally announced his campaign for Senate in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, resetting the GOP field in a critical race with a focus on the coronavirus pandemic. “We have not managed our crises as effectively as past generations,” Oz wrote in a Washington Examiner op-ed. “During the pandemic, I learned that when you mix politics and medicine, you get politics instead of solutions. That’s why I am running for the U.S. Senate: to help fix the problems and to help us heal.” Oz didn’t specify in his column that he was running for the Republican nomination, but after...

Dr. Mehmet Oz is likely to enter the high-stakes race for Pennsylvania’s open US Senate seat next year, according to state GOP insiders. The 61-year-old cardiac surgeon, author and host of TV’s “Dr. Oz Show” may declare his candidacy as early as this week, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Monday, citing Republican sources in the Keystone State. Oz — who would be vying to replace retiring Republican Sen. Pat Toomey if he decides to run — has already hired campaign aides and reached out to Pennsylvania GOP leaders, several sources familiar with the matter told the newspaper.

The Republican primary in next year's Pennsylvania Senate race may get more interesting, with Politico reporting that Republican leaders in the state are pressing the hedge fund CEO and Army veteran David McCormick to jump into the race. McCormick, a Pennsylvania native, is the CEO of the Connecticut-based hedge fund behemoth Bridgewater Associates. The West Point graduate and retired Army Ranger went on to serve as CEO of the Pittsburgh-based software company FreeMarkets before selling it in 2004. After a stint in the George W. Bush administration, McCormick took the helm of Bridgewater Associates in 2019.

The usual solemn and joyous occasion that surrounds the Swearing-in Ceremony in the Pennsylvania Senate was anything but on Tuesday. The raucous session began with a dispute over mask wearing that led to the passage of a temporary rule proposed by Senate Democrats to mandate everyone in the chamber have a face covering, which a couple Republican Sens. John DiSanto of Dauphin County and Doug Mastriano of Franklin County had resisted wearing until that point. But that was only a precursor to the real fireworks that the Senate Democrats set off. Pa. Senate GOP leader to deny seating an incumbent...

HARRISBURG — The new session of the Pennsylvania Senate got off to a chaotic start Tuesday, with Republicans refusing to seat a Democratic senator whose election victory has been certified by state officials. Amid high emotions and partisan fingerpointing, Republicans also took the rare step of removing the Democratic lieutenant governor, John Fetterman, from presiding over the session. They apparently did so because they did not believe Fetterman was following the rules and recognizing their legislative motions.

Exclusive: Burns Likely to Run for U.S. Senate By Keegan Gibson, Managing Editor Only an hour in to Republican State Committee, and already the battle for establishment support has begun among 2012 Senate hopefuls. Tim Burns, the businessman who ran for Congress against Mark Critz in a 2010 special election and again in the general election, confirmed that he is seriously considering a bid for U.S. Senate. “Well, I’m here. So obviously I’m pretty serious about it. I’ve gotten a lot of folks who have encouraged me to take a look at it so I have,” Burns told PoliticsPA. “I...

So much for Arlen Specter’s party switch to avoid a risky primary. The incumbent Pennsylvania senator’s 2010 Democratic Primary race against challenger Joe Sestak is now a toss-up. A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely Democratic Primary voters in the state finds Specter with just a four-point lead over Sestak – 46% to 42%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and 10% are undecided. In early August, Specter had a 13-point lead over the two-term congressman from the Philadelphia suburbs. In June, Sestak trailed by 19 points. Support for Specter in the primary has stayed relatively stable, declining...

Democratic leaders will continue to support the 2010 reelection of Sen. Arlen Specter (Pa.), Congress’ newest Democrat, despite yesterday’s news that Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) is planning a primary challenge, The Plum Line reported this afternoon. Here’s the statement from Jim Manley, spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), via Greg Sargent: Like President Obama and Vice President Biden, Senator Reid will work to raise money and campaign for Senator Specter. The development is slightly reminiscent of the Connecticut saga in 2006. In that case, there was a liberal candidate (Ned Lamont) challenging an established moderate (Joe...

Word out of Washington is that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and the political wise-guys from the Obama administration plan on "visiting with" Pennsylvania Democrat Rep. Joe Sestak. Their objective? A clear message: Get off of the stage and out of a possible primary race against "incumbent" Democrat Sen. Arlen Specter. "I have received a call from DSCC chair Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey," admitted Sestak in an interview. "But we keep missing each other." Probably a good thing for both men at this moment: Sestak has no inclination to be pushed out of a race and Menendez's marching...
