Patrick Byrne details his Friday night meeting at the White House with Sidney Powell and General Flynn, accusing WH Counsel Pat Cipollone of leaking details to the New York Times. Byrne also says Mark Meadows is lying to Trump to get him to concede. “My involvement is I was in the room when it happened. The raised voices included my own. I can promise you: President Trump is being terribly served by his advisers. They want him to lose and are lying to him. He is surrounding by mendacious mediocrities.” In addition, any suggestion if there was talk of...

Former CEO Patrick Byrne has given four primary interviews where he outlines his knowledge of a 2015 and 2016 political espionage operation being run by the FBI.Fox News, MacCallum – Fox Business #1 – Fox Business #2 – CNN, CuomoAfter a review of the interviews, and extracting specific points therein, here’s an overview. The substance of Mr. Byrne claims does seem to align with what we already know about the DOJ and FBI activity during the 2016 election cycle, including the FBI operations. First, Patrick Byrne claims he has spoken to the DOJ on April 5th, 2019, and again on April...

At this point I am going to be discrete, other than to say that contact was re-established with Men in Black (I avoid using the “F” acronym for reasons that will become clear). Why do I say, “re-established”? Because twice, over the decades, I have had the honor of helping them. Why would a (flag-waving) libertarian ever help feds? I will explain: I had a great friend named Brian Williams. In 2002 he was murdered. I helped bring the killer to justice, in a manner of speaking. Numerous sensationalist TV reenactments have been made, which should all be skipped. A...

It is not my intent to reveal anything beyond what I recently said on TV (and likely, even less). Given that much of that is now going through a media blender, I aim merely to organize and state clearly the things I said on television recently, so as to reduce room for misreporting. A frequently played video in the news this past year has been a clip from the summer of 2015: a 26 year old Maria Butina standing up in a Las Vegas conference to ask Candidate Donald Trump a question. The conference was FreedomFest, an annual conference for...

Former FBI Director James Comey denied claims made by Patrick Byrne, the former CEO of Overstock, about the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. Byrne has claimed to multiple news outlets, including the Washington Examiner, that the FBI directed him to rekindle a romantic relationship with Maria Butina, the Russian gun rights activist who admitted in December to conspiring with a senior Russian official to infiltrate conservative American political circles. The orders came from then-FBI agent Peter Strzok and top officials in the Obama administration, including Comey, Byrne has alleged without providing evidence. Comey called the allegations “ridiculous.”...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) I honestly don’t know what to make of this, so I’m just going to let you watch and judge for yourselves. – Overstock founder Patrick Byrne resigned his CEO position at the company on Thursday, and shortly thereafter appeared on Fox Business’s Varney & Co. program. What he had to say about his alleged involvement in several FBI domestic espionage efforts against various political campaigns would, if true, amount to grounds for scattering the raging dumpster fire agency to the winds. Here’s the clip of the interview: The interview is too long...

Full Title: Ex-Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne says he got 'fishy' orders from Peter Strzok; former acting AG unsure of claims Overstock founder and CEO Patrick Byrne, who resigned Thursday amid ties to a government probe related to the 2016 election, claimed he received "fishy" orders from former FBI official Peter Strzok. Overstock CEO Partick Byrne resigned from the e-commerce company Thursday after making controversial comments about his role in the “deep state.” Shares of Overstock popped as much as 17% after being halted for the news. Shares were up about 9% in the afternoon. “In July I came forward to a small set of journalists regarding my involvement in certain government matters. Doing so was not my first choice, but I was reminded of the damage done to our nation for three years and felt my duty as a citizen precluded me from staying silent any longer,” Byrne said in a...

Shares for the internet retailer Overstock have plunged more than 30 percent this week after its CEO issued a statement saying that he assisted efforts to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election. The e-commerce company's stock has fell by 36 percent since Monday, a figure that represents its biggest two-day hit in 11 years, Bloomberg News reported. The significant slide began after CEO Patrick Bryne came out with a statement about what he referred to as the "deep state." "Starting in 2015 I (operating under the belief that I was helping legitimate law enforcement efforts) assisted in what are...

Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne joined David Asman on FOX Business Network on Monday to discuss the launch of his new cryptocurrency. But first Byrne was asked about his involvement in the Russia Trump collusion witch hunt. Byrne was interviewed by the FBI for his involvement with Russian Maria Butina. Byrne fired off a warning shot to the deep state. Patrick Byrne: I ended up in the center of the Russian and the Clinton investigations. I have all the answers. I have been sitting on them waiting for America to get there. Last summer I figured out… what they all are...

But little did we know that Overstock's Chairman Jonathan Johnson is as vocal an opponent of the fiat system, and Wall Street's tendency to create bubble after bubble, if not more than Byrne himself. That, and that his company actually puts its money where its gold-backed money is and in preparation for the next upcoming crash, has taken unprecedented steps to prepare for what comes next. One week ago Johnson, who is also candidate for Utah governor, spoke at the United Precious Metals Association, or UPMA, which we first profiled a month ago, and which takes advantage of Utah's special...

Newegg, the online electronics retailer worth at least $2bn in annual revenue, has tweeted yet another hint that it will begin accepting bitcoin payments in the near future. The California-based company posted this teaser today: "Still waiting for an update, but will let you all know as soon as we receive word! RT @TheIanMerrill: @Newegg do you take #bitcoin yet?" There has been much online speculation over the past month as to what Newegg might be planning. A company of this size accepting bitcoin would be one of the biggest gestures toward mainstream bitcoin acceptance yet.

FORTUNE -- Overstock.com, which sells everything from bedding to dinnerware online, recently announced it would accept bitcoin as early as June, making it the first U.S. retailer to use the virtual currency. Still in its experimental phase, bitcoin has fluctuated from as low as $13 in January to more than $1,200 in December. And while it has had a wild ride, Overstock's (OSTK) plans to accept bitcoin as payment shouldn't be read as another bet that the currency will soar higher, says CEO Patrick Byrne.

Overstock.com – the American internet retailer with over a billion dollars per year in sales – will accept Bitcoin starting in 2014. As Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne told the Financial Times: I think a healthy monetary system at the end of the day isn’t an upside down pyramid based on the whim of a government official, but is based on something that they can’t control. If there’s going to be some part of the population which adopts it… I think that we’ll get that business. And the people who switch to it will respect that we started adopting it. Europe...

CHICAGO, August 14, 2012 — The new capitalist revolt is afoot. While insiders will continue to argue political football, Mitt Romney’s selection of Paul Ryan of Wisconsin as his running mate has set the political tone for the fall election season. To wit: Is this the dawn of even Bigger Government or its swan song? While Romney-Ryan may symbolize the latest challenge to Big Government, it is President Obama himself who has cemented the national debate. When Obama delivered his “You didn’t build that” speech before a Roanoke, VA audience on July 13, he handed conservatives a defining election-year battle...

So, I went online Friday looking to buy a copy of John Kenneth Galbraith's "The Affluent Society & Other Writings, 1952-1967." Thought it might be timely to revisit the Harvard economist's distinction between "private affluence" and "public squalor." Barnes & Noble's website was selling it for $26.53. Total, which included California sales tax: $28.79. "Total Before Tax" at Amazon.com: $26.40. "Estimated Tax To Be Collected: $0.00."At Overstock.com, I could still buy furniture and various knickknacks free of the 7.25 percent tax, even though California's law mandating out-of-state Internet retailers to start collecting the taxes was now in effect. In other...

Every day, thousands of Americans look to invest their money in stocks, and many of them go through brokers and traders to simplify the process. Unfortunately, according to Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne, a majority of those purchasers will be victims of Wall Street's criminal tactics and will help line the pockets of corrupt brokers and lawyers. Byrne, a Utahn who founded Overstock.com, talked to a crowd in the Union on Monday about how New York financial media and law firms have teamed up with big-wig business elites to create massive amounts of profit at the cost of American consumers. Byrne...
