Maria Butina and I, Part Deux: Romancing Maria(Patrick Byrne)

At this point I am going to be discrete, other than to say that contact was re-established with Men in Black (I avoid using the “F” acronym for reasons that will become clear).

Why do I say, “re-established”? Because twice, over the decades, I have had the honor of helping them. Why would a (flag-waving) libertarian ever help feds? I will explain:

I had a great friend named Brian Williams. In 2002 he was murdered. I helped bring the killer to justice, in a manner of speaking. Numerous sensationalist TV reenactments have been made, which should all be skipped. A surprisingly well-written story appeared in Sports Illustrated some years ago (“Lost Soul” by Chris Ballard) about Brian’s life and death that captures Brian’s spirit. It alludes to some minor involvement I had in helping the authorities sort it out. It was my honor to do so. On August 23, a United States Attorney named Brett Tolman appeared on Fox News with Dan Bongino (a retired federal officer, who was guest hosting for Hannity). At minute 1:25 Mr. Tolman says something about me:

I was with Byrne until he wrote that Obama brought dignity to the office of prez.
That was when he lost me.

Byrne doesn't totally understand the Game.

When Dubya "brought dignity", the Left and its Media shat all over him.

The Left and its Media PROTECTED Clownbammy and kept his "dignity" intact, in the face of his never-ending buffoonery.

"Uh, uh, uh, I, uh, uh, uh, I, uh, uh, uh..."

He caught my attention for a minute. I forgot what moment changed my opinion of him, but it did happen. Thanks for your moment. I’ll have to start writing these things down.

You see, Byrne was at the center of Russiagate, but he now chooses not to clearly describe what happened, because reasons. Also, Maria Butina was great in bed.

Would someone please put this guy in front of a prosecutor who will demand straight answers in coherent English?

He is co-opted by FBI for some reason and not credible. I suspect the purpose is to change the direction of the so-called Russian collusion and to keep it spinning in a way to leave Hillary unhurt.

Byrne is doing this to take the heat off Hitlary and 0bummer. He is a pawn in this chess game. He knows full well what he is doing and his comments show his true intentions when he praises Hitlary and 0bummer. Hitlary was never the subject of the fraud investigation, she was only made to look like she was being investigated. Cruz and Rubio? Rubio wasn’t even a blip on the radar during the campaign. Cruz? For a little while, he was a thorn into Trump but it was all Trump during the campaign. Prove they were at least investigated. All evidence pointed to the investigation after Trump jokingly said what he did about the Russians finding Hitlary’s emails. The deep state was all in on Trump and to say that anyone else was part of this fraud investigation is ludicrous and they are blowing smoke up your rear. Byrne is a patsy, a misdirection at best.

“” “” Byrne is doing this to take the heat off Hitlary and 0bummer. He is a pawn in this chess game.”” “”

My thoughts exactly. I believe FBI locked Butina for no reason and now demands him to produce this darbage under threat of false imprisonment.

originally, Byrne had Butina bringing up Clinton/Cruz & Rubio. seems the Deep State then told him to change his story to the FBI investigating those three, which is pure BS:

26 Jul: Sara Carter: Russia Probe Twist: A Billion Dollar CEO, A Convicted Russian Agent And The FBI
“Eventually, her conversations became less about philosophy and it became clear that she was doing things that made me quite uncomfortable,” stated Byrne. “She was basically schmoozing around with the political class and eventually she said to me at one point I want to meet anyone in the Hillary campaign, the Cruz, the Rubio campaigns.”...

My impression about Butina at this point is she was a 2nd amendment activist in Russia mostly for self-promotion. Based on her activism she developed ties to Russian senators related to gun business who used her activism to advance their agenda which was mostly lobbyism to ease regulations on handguns in Russia. It didn’t achieve much and with time passing her friends went out of politics and she herself downgraded to gun shows using her former fame to peddle overpriced rifles.
She did not like it much and was always in love with all things American and decided to move to US and repeat her domestic success based on conservative activism and getting access to the wealthy and powerful.
She might have even though of herself as a sort of self-appointed Ambassador for better relations between countries.

"I was with Byrne until ..."

I don't know whether to be with him or against him. I'm still reading this chapter of his autobiography.

However, I quote the following from his web site: "I let the Men In Black know that Maria had indeed checked off meeting someone in Hillary’s circle (I forget who), and intended from then on to focus entirely on Cruz, Rubio, and Trump. "

This line pegged my BS meter so hard I got a nose bleed. He forgot who Maria met in Hillary's campaign? I don't find this credible at all. Are we supposed to believe that Byrne would have thought this to be of no interest to his "Men In Black"? If the FBI downplayed the importance of this name he should have been astounded and forever distrustful of his handlers.

"So I don’t see him as nuanced enough or devious enough to be an FBI (or CIA) frontman."

I don't disagree with this. But I don't believe for a second that he doesn't know who Maria connected with in the Hillary camp. On this point I don't think he is telling the truth. I think he is holding back a lot.

"He himself said during the Fox interview that he was holding back (a lot)."

Granted. Perhaps he didn't wish to name the person in Hillary's camp that Butina met. That doesn't explain why he would claim to have forgotten; a claim which I still find totally unreasonable.

Perhaps the explanation is that Byrne is simply not sufficiently articulate to present his message consistently, clearly, and factually. Unfortunately, that assumption will cause a great many people to discount his claims.
