Patrick Byrne met with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Dec. 18, 2020, to urge him to investigate allegations of election fraud. Byrne, the founder and former CEO of online retailer Overstock, is set to testify before the Jan. 6 House Select Committee on July 15.
In an exclusive interview with The Epoch Times, Byrne recounted his meeting with Trump, which included former national security adviser Michael Flynn and Sidney Powell, former attorney to Trump’s campaign and former federal prosecutor, along with a number of White House officials.
The roughly 4.5-hour meeting was “nothing like it has been reported,” Byrne said in an interview with EpochTV’s “Facts Matter” program on July 14.

“We were always after the most minimal on that range of options, which was to do a quick investigation that we said could be done in a few days,” Byrne said of the plan. ... “He was anything but some crazed tyrant clutching to power,” Byrne said.
What also became clear, he said, was that Trump “was being completely undermined by everyone around him.”
Trump, at one moment, turned to Cipollone to express his disappointment that he hadn’t been alerted to the executive powers.
“Why didn’t you even tell me about these orders, Pat? … Why did I have to hear it from them? At least they want to fight for me.”
“Mr. President, I’m not your campaign lawyer. I’m your White House lawyer,” Cipollone answered, according to Byrne.
“This man [Cipollone] has been telling staffers systematically … that we have to get you out of here, [that] we have to get the president in the transition mode, just get him to concede,” Byrne said he told Trump, adding that he could get White House staffers to back up his statements within half an hour.

The word is that is was Guiliani who convinced Trump not to take action, but to leave things to the courts. Guiliani's critics will rightfully hold this against him. Trump easily could have ordered an audit and justified it by saying that the courts had refused to adjudicate the substance of the claims that the election had been stolen by hiding behind "latches", "standing" and "mootness" to refuse to reach the merits of the claims. Once hard facts had been uncovered, as well as destruction of evidence from the election, Trump would have gained the public support to ignore the media propaganda that the election was clean.
“Questioning election results and calling for an investigation hadn’t been viewed as controversial until that November, Byrne said.
“I didn’t see that as a huge deal between being in a constitutional crisis that could end the nation—which I knew where we’d be if we tried to choke down the election that nobody had any real confidence in—or getting an answer like that.””

Hmm. Patrick Byrne has told so many off-the-wall stories concerning Trump, I am really skeptical about his truthfulness. Several years ago when he was interviewed on Fox, he admitted to being recruited by the CIA. He just seems like a person who wants to get into the center of things and get notoriety.
There were many Judases, all of them RINOs, ESPECIALLY in the state legislatures who looked the other way while Rats stole it, and allowed Rats to bring in the cheat-by-mail-in ballots and drop-boxes without the legislature voting on it.
The only way we will ever get our country back is to oust the RINOs in the state legislatures.
Byrne will testify, so he is on Liz Cheney’s team.
In the absence of clear evidence of any violations of Federal civil rights or voting rights laws, the Federal court options were always going to be limited.
This is why I have more contempt for the state legislatures than anyone in the Trump campaign or the Federal courts when it comes to the 2020 election debacle.

Martial law was never a valid solution as Byrne seems to be pushing.
And the authority to do so comes from where if not the courts or the state legislatures or any other constitutionally identified entity?
And will be placed in the whack-doodle group of Trump advisors along with Giuliani and Powell.
