I attended the Gala last night of the Westchester chapter of the OSOT. This Chapter is led by Bonnie Eilen, MD, whose daughter and son-in-law served and are serving in the curent war. Lot's of money was raised, and as Bonnie said, "Thank you all, we made alot of money, I will go spend alot of money!" Thank you Bonnie for all you do. And God bless our troops and keep them safe. There was an article today in the Olympian, Olympia, Washington's newspaper, regarding concern about about a large BC 2004 campaign sign hanging at an overpass adjacent to Fort Lewis. I could not post the original article due to copyright restrictions so I decided to Vanitize it. The overpass in question is on exit 122 over Interstate 5 where FReepers and Operation Support Our Troops (OSOT) members stand together as Patriots to acknowledge the sacrifices and brave service of America's troops. An Issaquah woman who has devoted the last 18 months to supporting the nation's soldiers received President George W. Bush's personal thanks Thursday for her efforts. Nadine Gulit of Issaquah was awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award from USA Freedom Corps, and was personally recognized by Bush during a brief greeting at Boeing Field where Bush arrived from Spokane. ``It was outstanding,'' Gulit said later. ``I got a big hug -- and a handshake. Kris Atherton lost an arm in the Iraq war in July, but the 24-year-old still looks more like a college student than a Purple Heart recipient. Lunchtime (Noon - 1PM) rally every Friday on Hewitt & Colby. This site has been dominated by the so-called "Peace" activists. We hope to reverse that unfortunate scenerio. Bring your lunch if you want, and bring a flag or sign to support our troops!

We weren't at the massive Bellevue rally of 5000 strong, but some Washington FReepers, local patriotic citizens, and Support the Troops Groups came to the Camp Murray overpass and made history on Saturday!
