I attended the Gala last night of the Westchester chapter of the OSOT. This Chapter is led by Bonnie Eilen, MD, whose daughter and son-in-law served and are serving in the curent war.
Lot's of money was raised, and as Bonnie said, "Thank you all, we made alot of money, I will go spend alot of money!"
Thank you Bonnie for all you do. And God bless our troops and keep them safe.
The video link is the video they showed last night at the gala.
And here is more about Dr. Eilen and the Westchester OSOT.
Some thank you notes to share:
DEAR OSOT, I wanted to express my gatitude to you for your wonderful packages. I fell so lucky to get your support and to know how much you're taking care of soldiers. Packages are a big morale booster and whenever I get and OSOT package, I share it with all the soldiers in my section - there's so much to go around, and it really brightens our day! Love, R. F.
To our friends and Volunteers, Thank you yet again for your continued support and care packages! We have spread the goodies among roomates, unit members and other soldiers here at camp Bucca. A friend of ours just lost her IPOD, the the IPOD shuffles were a huge lifesaver. You guys are really good at picking out yummy food! Thanks again!!! GW and HB
Dear Friends at Operation Support our Troops, Thank you so much for the very thoughtful and generous care package you sent me in Baghdad! It went a long way to sweetening my New Year! I wish you a Shanah Tovah! sincerely, R.S.
A feel good story indeed. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I watched the video, so touching and simple things like the packages we send can make such a difference for our troops. They appreciate these things from home so very much! I need to go wipe my eyes and blow my nose. God bless our troops!!
Westchester? I’m shocked. Westchester loves Mosques and Muslims.
This event was held at a Jewish Temple.
A story I would never read about in the Journal News.
not a chance.
But my block is filled with US flags, mixed Jewish Italian.
She is not a city kid!
Meet Some Strong NY Freepers Caring for the Troops.
I live in Westchester and would love to be notified about these events, if that’s possible. Many thanks!
