Delaware was pounded by Hurricane Irene on Saturday night, but Vice President Biden got in one last round of golf in his home state before the heavy stuff started coming down, Fox News has learned. Biden played golf at a Wilmington-area course on Saturday morning, according to two sources familiar with his schedule. Asked directly whether Biden played golf on Saturday, Biden's office would not comment to Fox News. Biden's official schedule released Friday showed him spending down time at home in Wilmington after a 10-day official trip to Asia. Later on Saturday with gusts of wind measuring up to...

After a week of rough economic news, President Obama on Saturday gave a pep talk to America, using his weekly radio address to tell them he understands their hardships and to tick off the steps he's prodded government to take. "We will continue to face difficult days in the months ahead," Mr. Obama said. "But I also believe that we will get through this — that if we act swiftly and boldly and responsibly, the United States of America will emerge stronger and more prosperous than it was before." Mr. Obama also bragged about what he said were the brakes...

Well, not only do I have to pay for my house, now I get to bail out these scam Morgtage loans that were offered at no money down to people with no "real" money. Moral: Do whatever you want just make sure when you fail it's big enough to hurt the economy and you're little scheme will be bailed out. I just don't understand our President at all anymore ....

Voter turnout reflects heated political races: Jore leads Windham in unofficial results For months the candidates spoke. Now the voters have spoken. In Lake County, there were a number of interesting initial results, including a good margin of victory by Rick Jore in the House District 12 race. Jore had 1,816 votes to Jeanne Windham's 1,425 votes, as of early Wednesday morning. However, county election officials emphasized that they still have hundreds of absentee, provisional and late-registration ballots to tally, which could affect several races, including House District 12. Locally, Polson voters approved the city manager/charter form of government by...

My wife bought me this about a week ago. Another 50 year old, white, fat, hip-hop convert. If you want to get in good with your teenage kids, get them this. It will show them that most of the problems they have aren't even close to being big, that they have the same feelings as people they haven't met yet, AND that the old man can be cool at times, getting them tunes that no one else has heard yet. Plus, the money that goes to Operation AC will make you feel good even if you don't quite roll with...

"- this latest victim of violence in America was a beautiful 18 year old girl, who should have had a bright future..." "...it's such a shame because it was such a beautiful baby..." "- such an unlikely crimal; he was good looking, -" "- had everything going for her; she was pretty and sexy-" Think back- how many times have you heard it? The beautiful baby, the beautiful girl- the litany of those persons who deserve to inherit the best the country has to offer. Not because of integrity, honesty, talent or other qualities that could have been cited... but...

I forgive you Canada....the slate is wiped clean. I, who am (pop) culturally deprived, discovered on my television a program called "Two and a Half Men." Perhaps others have heard of it.The episode I saw was a rerun, I've learnt from Google, and the ravishing guest star was Canadian import Emmanuelle Vaugier. C'est une maitresse de ballet très sympathique.Oooo la la. Oooo la la la la la la la la.

The Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition (SVTC) -- the same environmental group that drew the attention of Apple CEO Steve Jobs at the company's shareholder meeting yesterday -- on Friday shot back at statements Jobs made about the company's environmental policies. While the groups initial charges were broad, they narrowed the focus on many of the issues in their responses today. Jobs countered claims that Apple did not have an effective computer takeback program by pointing out that Apple has had such a program for four years, recycling over 1,500 tons in the last year. The SVTC said in response that...

I was once a loney freeper. A freeper without a "1", pleasently picking on user "Ash" daily, now I have a (one)"1". What did I win to become a 'one'? Back in the days of Teddy Roosevelt, I signed on to FR. (May, 98.) Then somebody hit the wrong button and BOOFF! I was eliminated, disenfranchised, erased from memory. Gone, Capute! Subsequently, posing as a lurker, I saw an old thread I had started from July, '98. I tried to post to it. Nothing. I tried again. Nothing! I emailed JimRob. He said my user ID was gone! Not banished,...
