"Authorities are sweeping the Truckee area looking for explosives that were reported stolen from near Interstate 80 early Wednesday morning. The Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the theft of the explosives, or for the recovery of the material. “Anytime explosives are stolen there is a concern,” said Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal, explaining the federal agency’s response and reward offer. Royal said the vault containing the explosives was “forcibly entered.”
