"Authorities are sweeping the Truckee area looking for explosives that were reported stolen from near Interstate 80 early Wednesday morning.
The Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the theft of the explosives, or for the recovery of the material.
Anytime explosives are stolen there is a concern, said Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal, explaining the federal agencys response and reward offer.
Royal said the vault containing the explosives was forcibly entered.

I remember that when I was a kid you could buy dynamite at the local hardware store. They made you sign a sheet with your name and what you wanted it for....no ID was needed though.
We really live in a different world now.
Ah the old days where .22 rifles were allowed on the school bus, every pocket held a pocket knife, and you could pick up some cheap dynamite to blow out a stump.
We will never see that world again....

I hope they can find this or those who committed this crime. The Reno bike run is next week, and already, there might be Mongols and H.A. clashes. (just speculating maybe...)
