The irony was that Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn was charged with and plead guilty to making false statements to the FBI. By his own standards Robert Mueller was guilty of making “false statements” in his parting gift to Democrat impeachment seekers. He was not, however, under legal oath which is maybe why Democrats did not want him to be questioned by Congress in a hearing beforehand. The special counsel investigating Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election is investigating President Donald Trump for obstruction of justice, the Washington Post reports. The Post, citing two unnamed sources, says special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe expanded to include the president just days after he dismissed former FBI Director James Comey. The source, billed as familiar with Mueller’s thinking, says the special counsel currently views the matter as a “he said-he said” situation. Marc Kasowitz, the president’s personal counsel, denounced this latest leak.
