Luis Navarro literally leapt into action on Saturday to nab the ISIS-inspired alleged bomb throwers, Emir Balat and Ibrahim Kayumi, outside the mayor’s official residence. Having the two Finest at a Gracie Mansion meal the next evening would’ve signaled major respect for the men and women in blue who keep the city safe, and a rejection of the hateful brand of Islam that inspired the suspects

According to Iranian reports, former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was killed together with his bodyguard during an Israeli airstrike on the country, while under house arrest. Serving as Iran's sixth president between 2005 and 2013, Ahmadinejad is remembered as one of the Islamic Republic's most extreme and antisemitic voices. He was open about his aspiration to destroy Israel. In 2009, his controversial reelection set off the largest protests in post-revolution Iran's history until that point. The regime under his lead responded with a bloodbath, killing dozens and sending hundreds to prison.

Zohran Mamdani’s father, the radical Columbia University professor Mahmood Mamdani, savaged the school’s anti-Semitism task force during a Dec. 12 meeting of the University Senate. Mamdani described the task force as a “prosecutorial agency” and likened its work to imperial British colonizers, who used racial divisions to maintain power, according to an unofficial transcript obtained by our Jessica Schwalb. “It became very clear that [the task force] saw itself not as representing the community, but as a prosecutorial agency,” Professor Mamdani said. A Houston youth baseball coach was nearly gunned down earlier this week while kneeling before God with his young players in a senseless crime. As Fox News reported, a coach for the Texas Colts was in a pregame prayer with his players on Sunday when three people fired gunshots in their direction from a nearby pasture. Video of the incident obtained by local news outlets shows the 12-year-old players running to safety while the bullets fly. One adult is struck and collapses to the ground next to home plate.

A US immigration judge orders the deportation of Mahmoud Khalil, an anti-Israel protest leader at Columbia University in New York City. Khalil became a high-profile figure after his arrest by the Trump administration in March. He has waged a legal battle against deportation since then. The immigration judge in one of his case, Jamee Comans, orders Khalil be deported to Algeria or Syria.
