Barack Obama’s “Truth Team” – the most Orwellian name for a campaign organization in recent memory – has unleashed an email this afternoon calling on its supporters to spam Facebook, Twitter, and other social media with pro-Obama propaganda during the debate. Stephanie Cutter, the deputy campaign manager for Obama, writes: Benjamin -- Tonight's debate will be an important moment in this election. The pundits will have a lot to say about it, but they don't have the final word -- you do. So if you think President Obama does a good job tonight, say so. Post about it on Facebook,...

David Corn has a report out this morning that pushes the continuing attacks on Mitt Romney's tenure at Bain Capital forward not just because of the business it involves — disposing of aborted fetuses — but because it extends the length of time he worked at Bain. According to Securities and Exchange Commission documents, Romney was involved in Bain's investment in a company called Stericycle in late 1999. What did Stericycle do? Well, it was a fast-growing, profitable medical waste company. But it also had some problems, such as getting fined for keeping body parts and dead animals in unmarked...

Much of Barack Obama's political success can be traced to a database listing contact information for millions of people, a tool that has proved invaluable in raising record sums of money and organizing a national volunteer network. Now Obama's presidential campaign is increasingly using the list to beat back media messages it does not like, calling on supporters to flood radio and television stations when those opposed to him run anti-Obama ads or appear on talk shows. It did so as recently as Monday night, when it orchestrated a massive stream of complaints on the phone lines of Tribune Co.-owned...

... In the late 1980s, Internet users adopted the word “troll” to denote someone who intentionally disrupts online communities. Early trolling was relatively innocuous, taking place inside of small, single-topic Usenet groups. The trolls employed what the M.I.T. professor Judith Donath calls a “pseudo-naïve” tactic, asking stupid questions and seeing who would rise to the bait. The game was to find out who would see through this stereotypical newbie behavior, and who would fall for it. As one guide to trolldom puts it, “If you don’t fall for the joke, you get to be in on it.” Today the Internet...

Lets not keep requesting for same sex marriage. Lets demand that one woman and one man marriges no longer get the benefits that type of marriage receives from federal and state government. When they realize that they have no power of decision making over the health of their mate, that neither one can inherit the social security or the estate they have built and that they loose all the benefits just for the entitlement of one man and one woman marriage certificate. That will stop the religious and political push to change the US Constitution or any state constitution.

This is a serious question and I respectfully ask for serious, thoughtful responses from the most ardent McCain detractors and not the casually disgusted. If you are only casually disgusted, please refrain from mucking up the thread and allow only the truly bulemic to air their rationale. I am not a McCain supporter, never have been probably never will be. That he will be the eventual GOP nominee is all but assured and that I might find I must vote for him if only to counter an Obama or Clinton administration, well, that's my decision and one I hope you...

Just wondering. 26 year old guy in VA, your typical small government conservative who fights for low taxes, privatized SS, cutting spending at all levels, secure borders, and for the GWOT, and sees the value of both the Afghan War and the Iraq War. But I am Muslim.

The other day I wrote a thread reflecting upon the question of what Ann Coulter has done to win people over to the cause of conservatism. I explained that she had for years been a women I admired and agree with her on just about every political belief. My thesis was that she is a great entertainer and has enriched herself as a result as she appeals to those who don't need a physician but her delivery is so obnoxious and un-pallatable that she wouldn't win anyone over to the cause even if she is correct. Someone replied to me...

In this article by Richard A. Viguerie, you will learn: √ How Fred Thompson disappointed conservatives during his 8 years in the Senate. √ The only time he played a major role on a major piece of legislation—and he was on the liberal side. √ Why he fails the Goldwater Test, getting an “F.” √ Why he fails the Reagan Test, getting an “F.” √ How he runs around with the wrong crowd—the Marshmallow Republicans. √ Why one of Washington’s key media liberals is maneuvering for Fred Thompson. √ What his “wrong” votes on these 18 important issues tell us...

This is a WorldNetDaily printer-friendly version of the article which follows. "Progressive" political site DailyKos is urging Democrats in Michigan to cross over and vote for Gov. Mitt Romney in Tuesday's primary to keep the candidate in the GOP race and thereby ensure the Republicans continue "trashing each other."

Right Wing News has done another Rightosphere temperature check on the Republican race for the Presidential nomination. Over half preferred Thompson as the Republican candidate — these folks must have been very happy with last nights debate, where Thompson finally woke up and realized politics ain’t bean bag and you can’t win if you don’t play. RWN’s does some helpful breakouts on relative preferences among the candidates, so do check out the temp check. The two candidates the bloggers don’t like are McCain and Huckabee. I’d pick it strongly the other way, but bloggers actually prefer McCain over Huckabee. My...

I agree Mr. Stathis! I have some good news for you and other Republicans or Americans who are disillusioned with the candidates at large. There is a candidate that fits so much of what the conservative base wants. I think he is such a good fit that he is being completely ignored by the national media. I am severely disappointed in the national Republican Party that they have not done more to hold this candidate up. Base Republicans do not want RINOS such as McCain, Huckabee or Guiliani. I know it is a long shot, as this man has not...

In August 2006, just a few months in advance of the midterm elections, 26 million citizens were logging on to the Internet to get information about the campaigns, according to a survey by the Pew Internet and American Life Project. ) That amounts to 13 percent of all adults in the country using the Internet as a tool to make informed political decisions.... And notably, since the inception of Google bombing seven years ago, political Google bombs have been predominantly a tactic of the Left. While Google bombing isn’t exclusive to Democratic partisans (in 2004 a Republican blogger instigated a...

Recently Newt Gingrich told an interviewer that there was a 4 to 1 chance that he would "not" run for President! ( link1 ) GOP Presidential candidates have been openly criticizing and snubbing the President. ( link2) Faced with a 40% drop in small donor contributions, the "old RNC" actually fired all of its phone solicitors ( link3 ) showing how absolutely divorced from reality they, the RNC, are. Putting all the blame on the poor phone solicitors and none on themselves! What a collection of losers. And over all GOP fundraising is down and sagging behind the dem's. (...

And how could they refuse? They all have a strong sense of duty and honor. They respect the Office of the President. So when the President calls, they must go. Even though they had to know they were being used. And, of course, the President and Karl Rove know what to expect from this noble group. And they must also have known that these individuals would be criticized for attending this session. But Rove and the President only care about their own political hides. They could care less who they damage in the process of covering their own back sides...

I've had a commenter advertise the Fred Thompson Forum, but the actual site is pretty silly. There seems to be a bunch of posters pretending to be ignorant "neocons" who support Fred Thompson (with over the top names like I LOVE HANNITY and Neocon4Fred), while links and facts to Ron Paul are casually put into the discussion and his supporters are made to seem sane in comparison. The biggest tell is that's theres a poll up about whether Fred Thompson can beat Ron Paul, and Fred Thompson is losing -- on a supposed Fred Thompson fan site. Plus, the reader...

Did anyone get this email about May 15 2007? On this day, the email states that there is going to be a walk out on buying gas, throughout the U.S.A.. In my opinion and the way gas prices are sky rocketing in the United States, this is a great idea! Lets show these politicians and oil companies who is really in charge, us! Lets all banned together, and show them how we can control the price of gas too! May 15 2007 1. Everyone in the U.S. does not buy gas for one whole day! Gas up a couple of...
