IN the span of two weeks, nearly 30 children have vanished in Cleveland, sparking huge concern from a local police chief who said he hasn't seen anything like this in his 33-year career. About 200 children are missing right now in Northeast Ohio. They may be in danger and they need our help, and a task force is making progress tracking them down. Operation Safety Net recovered 25 missing children in its first two weeks, and the sting is continuing right now. The task force, led by U.S. Marshals, is working with local partners to get endangered kids to safety.

WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. — A one-day sweep by law enforcement agencies in Michigan resulted in the recovery of 123 missing children, the U.S. Marshals Service said. The sweep, called Operation MISafeKid and conducted on Sept. 26, and was aimed at locating victims of sex trafficking. “Three cases were identified as being possible sex trafficking cases, and one homeless teen was transported back to the command post after it was discovered that he had not had anything to eat in three days,” the U.S. Marshals Service said in a news release.
