Top Democratic officials and lawmakers are breaking with Democratic Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner as his past blunders and online history stack up. Platner’s ascendency to the top of the ticket in Vacationland broke with the Democratic establishment in Washington, D.C., and since Maine Gov. Janet Mills exited from the race, questions about whether he is the right choice to take on Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, have exploded. Much of that is fueled by scandals that have cropped up seemingly week after week, be it a tattoo on his chest of a Nazi symbol or inflammatory posts online. Some in...

Andrew Cuomo and his then-married top aide, Melissa DeRosa, were in an “emotional romantic relationship” while he was New York governor, according to bombshell testimony obtained by The Post. But Cuomo — who is running for New York City mayor — seemingly failed to disclose any such relationship to Attorney General’s Office investigators probing sexual harassment allegations that prompted his resignation in August 2021. Another former Cuomo aide, Josh Vlasto, told the AG’s office that June that DeRosa had confided in him about the relationship, according to an unredacted transcript of his testimony. “There was a conversation with Melissa where...

I've just finished reading the hilariously terrible book "What's Left Unsaid" by Melissa DeRosa, secretary to former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (New York) that is so unself-aware, so arrogant, so embarrassing that I have to review it. I only read it in the first place because I wanted to interview Cuomo on my Substack, figuring that after his defenestration, he'd be a fun interview. But I'm willing to sacrifice that possibility just to wallow in the awfulness of this book. (Plus, recent press reports say he's thinking of running for mayor of New York, so it's topical.) Most dumbfounding, DeRosa brags...

Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s top aide Melissa DeRosa has claimed that then-Mayor Bill de Blasio deliberately failed to deploy enough cops during the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests in New York City because he feared violent clashes between the NYPD and protesters would embarrass him. Like many other issues, how to handle the protests that erupted over the police killing of George Floyd in Minnesota triggered disagreements between Cuomo and de Blasio, recounts DeRosa in her forthcoming memoir, “What’s Left Unsaid: My Life at the Center of Power, Politics & Crisis.” “We learned that a high-ranking member of the police...

A US Navy admiral begged the Cuomo administration to send patients to the nearly-empty hospital ship docked on the Hudson River during the height of the pandemic — but his pleas were met with politics and paranoia, The Post has learned. With city medical facilities packed with critically ill COVID patients in the spring of 2020 — and just days after the infamous edict by Gov. Andrew Cuomo to send COVID patients to nursing homes, which critics say resulted in thousands of deaths — the Trump administration sent the USNS Comfort, a 1,000-bed ship, to relieve hospitals of patients with...

At first, it seemed like Jeff Zucker was just another piece of collateral damage from Andrew Cuomo’s demise, caught in the same blast radius that knocked Chris Cuomo out of CNN months earlier. It all seemed so rich, considering Zucker was the one who canned Chris for getting wrapped up in Andrew’s own workplace scandal. But for many CNN staffers, something isn’t adding up about Zucker’s surprise resignation on Wednesday. The network’s president said in a statement that he failed to disclose a romantic relationship with his number two, Allison Gollust, before it was raised during an investigation into Chris...

It’s been months now since it was revealed that CNN’s Chris Cuomo was involved in advising his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, regarding the sexual misconduct allegations that he was facing from multiple women.Yet, CNN did nothing about it when it was announced. They also allowed Chris Cuomo to have his brother on multiple shows, propping him up in the middle of the nursing home scandal and painting him as a great hero of the pandemic with cutesy skits. It violated a basic principle of journalism to do that, but CNN didn’t have a problem with it and...

Chris Cuomo, host of CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time, used his media sources to dig up info on his brother, former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s, sexual harassment accusers, according to texts and interview transcripts recently revealed. Text messages released by New York Attorney General Letitia James show Chris Cuomo had frequent contact with Melissa DeRosa, Andrew Cuomo’s top aide at the time.

Documents released Monday reveal the CNN host was using his media sources to get intel on his brother Andrew’s accusers, and then funneling information to the then-governor’s top aideChris Cuomo is the host of his own CNN show on which he discusses national political issues. He’s also the brother of Andrew Cuomo, the disgraced former governor of New York who resigned in August in the wake of a damning report detailing several allegations of sexual misconduct. It was a pretty big conflict of interest, especially considering Cuomo the younger was advising his brother on how to weather the scandal. Documents...

Newly-released texts from CNN host Chris Cuomo reveal his friend arranged for Alec Baldwin to post a video in support of his brother Andrew and that he used his media connections to find out about accusers. The text exchanges - released by the New York Attorney General's office Monday - contradict Chris Cuomo's claims that he did not closely advise the disgraced former governor about a dozen sexual harassment allegations leveled against him. In one message, Cuomo said 'his friend' asked actor Alec Baldwin to post commentary online, referencing Baldwin's 14-minute Instagram rant earlier this year where he hit out...

Disgraced Gov. Cuomo’s one-time top aide took a none-too-subtle swipe at his successor Friday evening over her handling of the coronavirus. “Time to shift with the times — ribbon cuttings and photo ops drinking beers in UES bars maskless won’t get this job done,” Melissa DeRosa, the former secretary to the governor said in a tweet that was later deleted.

Investigators Also Say Cuomo Inappropriately Used Staffers To Work On His Book And Wasn't Fully Transparent Regarding Nursing Home Deaths ALBANY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — The New York State Assembly Judiciary Committee released the findings of its investigation into former Gov. Andrew Cuomo Monday. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge. “We conclude that there is overwhelming evidence that the former governor engaged...

Andrew Cuomo and her alleged efforts to discredit one of his accusers.Kaplan, who co-founded the legal defense fund in the wake of the #MeToo movement, submitted her resignation on Monday — saying that her work as a practicing lawyer conflicted with her responsibilities as chairwoman, the New York Times reported.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) is reportedly seeking a deal with state lawmakers to avoid being impeached over a bombshell report on myriad sexual harassment allegations. The report comes one day after Melissa DeRosa, a top aide to Cuomo, announced her resignation. In February, the New York Post reported that DeRosa admitted to lawmakers that her team withheld the number of coronavirus deaths in New York’s nursing homes to protect the Cuomo administration’s from an investigation by then-President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice.

ALBANY, NY—Amid calls for his resignation, embattled New York Governor Andrew Cuomo defended himself as the victim of America's cruel history of bigotry against Italian people who murder the elderly while also being sex predators. "I'm being persecuted, and I'm sad to say this is nothing new," said Cuomo in a statement. "America has struggled with this kind of racism for a long time. We Italian guys have a long and proud culture of groping every single woman we encounter, and of killing thousands of seniors in nursing homes. It's just a part of our heritage, and too many people...
