A huge crowd of flag-waving patriots attended the New Orleans area "Rally for America" held on Friday night, March 21st from 6 to 8 PM at a beautifully-decorated park in Kenner, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans. We really don’t know how many people were there, but the crowd kept growing, and WWL-TV reported "as night fell on the crowd, the numbers exploded, overflowing the park." We even had a note of support from a group of patriots from our neighboring state of Mississippi, who wanted to attend, but couldn't get here in time because of the early Friday evening...

Tonight's FReep of the peaceniks in Fresno, California, was a heck of a lot of fun! Approximately one hundred and twenty (yes, you read that right!) FReepers and patriots showed up to support our troops and their commander-in-chief. We had two bullhorns going at times tonight with cheers being said almost continually. The response from those driving by was overwhelming! Fresno supports the military, our president, and the War Against Terrorism. Among those who were able to attend tonight's FReep were: Jim, Chris, and Sheila Robinson JKPhoto Mama_Bear JustAmy and her husband Leonard FriendAnn Mtngrl@vrwc Gracie1 Ladyinred Chadsworth Fresno Army Brat...

Nearly 300 war protestors gathered in Jefferson Square in downtown Louisville on Thursday March 20th. I'd given the heads up to the Kentucky FReepers and informed them of my intention to FReep the peaceniks. I showed up at the north corner of Jefferson and 6th streets and was greeted by FReeper johnpq and five other folks who wanted to express their support for our Troops. The police officers on our corner informed us we were free to express our opinion of the protestors but we needed to stay on our side of the street. I brought Old Glory and several...

<p>Though they were small in numbers, their impact was big during Friday's rush hour above Interstate Hwy. 35 in Minneapolis.</p> <p>"The silent majority needs to be heard," said Dave Asher of Minneapolis, one of five people holding "Liberate Iraq -- Support the Troops" placards on the 40th Street pedestrian bridge as a stream of drivers sounded their praise. "I know we're out there."</p>

Amid the hollers and the flag-waving Friday at a "Support Our Troops" rally in the Capitol courtyard, one Tallahassee mother clutched a photograph and quietly represented what "supporting our troops" means for her.
  • San Francisco "We're With W" stand makes positive news

Yes, it was ugly, but our 15-person-strong pro-troops group garnered extraordinarily positive and widespread media attention as the left revealed their venom and hypocrisy. As there was a debate on FR yesterday as to how wise it is to go out on a big news day when the other side is frothing at the mouth, I thought I would post the following after-action report. ******* We got our "We're With W" rapid response message out despite and even because of the hatred spewing from the anti-war crowd gathered in San Francisco's Civic Center at noon today. During the event, ABC's...

Healdsburg rally backs troops By PAUL PAYNE THE PRESS DEMOCRAT In a departure from Sonoma County war protests, demonstrators in Healdsburg waved American flags and donned yellow ribbons Thursday in a rally supporting U.S. troops. The crowd of more than 125 people, many of whom were parents of servicemen and women, lined Healdsburg Avenue on the downtown plaza, drawing honks of approval from drivers and a few encouraging tire screeches. Across the street, about 100 anti-war protesters took up positions in a silent vigil against military action and President Bush. Dianna Murphy and her husband T.J., whose son Ryan Alves...

Tension between "pro-U.S." and anti-war groups at "teach-in" Veritable battle lines were drawn in front of the M.D. Anderson Memorial Library on Thursday as emotional debates on the war issue ensued at a "teach-in" organized by UH faculty and staff. Flash points of heated arguments popped, but eventually fizzled without great incident, when student demonstrators calling themselves not necessarily pro-war, but "pro-U.S.A.," congregated outside the anti-war gathering of professors, UH staff and students, who started organizing at 10 a.m. Thursday. Sarah Brantly, a public relations senior, said she walked by the large rally, listened to what they were saying and...
