It goes without saying that most NewsBusters readers are not likely familiar with the rapper known as Ludacris. However, it seems likely his new "song" and video "Obama is Here" will be getting a lot of attention not only given its strong support for the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee, but also due to some of its defamatory remarks towards President Bush, John McCain, and Hillary Clinton.

The Obama Campaign issued the following statement today after receiving an apology from rapper Ludicris over offensive lyrics in a recent release. "Senator Obama was truly moved by the sincere apology from Ludicris today. The words were so touching that Senator Obama felt that Ludicris should have a place on his cabinet. The senator noted that anyone who can apologize that well certainly has the qualities and experience to be Secretary of State, and apolgize for America around the world to restore our dignity."
