Obama's Other Jeremiah Wrights (Ludacris did fundraiser for Obama!)
Human Events ^ | 4-14-08 | Mr. Gahr

Posted on 07/30/2008 1:28:16 PM PDT by SeafoodGumbo

Jeremiah Wright is not the only supporter Barack Obama needs to explain.

Although the media has finally exposed Barack Obama's ties to the unhinged pastor his support from rappers who propagate equally pernicious nonsense has gone almost entirely unnoticed.

Rappers are gaga over Obama. The superstar Jay-Z, who raps about “b------,” “hoes” and “n-----,“ even urged voters to support Obama in a robo-call for the March 4 Ohio primary and caucus. The equally foul-mouthed rapper Will.I.am, whose hit songs include “I love my B----,” has hyped Obama in two widely-viewed videos posted on YouTube.

The rappers have good reason to praise Obama. He has at times been an apologist for their “music.” His complicity with rappers dates back to at least 2006.

Late that year he met with the rap giant Ludacris in his Chicago office. Ludacris, who Pepsi dropped as a spokesman in 2004 after Fox News Channel host Bill O’Reilly exposed his putrid lyrics, said afterwards that Obama felt like family to him. In March 2007 Ludacris, whose hit songs include “Move B----,” headlined an Obama fundraiser in Atlanta

Obama even recorded a voice over for a new album out this June from rapper Q-tip. Will it contain lyrics like these sonnets from another Q-tip song? “Close the door, ‘ight let a n---- rock. Cause we ‘bout to eat real s---, not s--- slop.”

Who are these members of Obama’s amen corner? Many are the industry’s leading lights, who have become rich and famous thanks to the willingness of liberals like Obama to ignore or excuse their glorification of sexism, drugs and violence. Without this kind of collaboration they would just be unemployed thugs instead of millionaires.

Obama thus far has equivocated on rappers. He has criticized their language, but adamantly refused to denounce the whole sordid genre as the unique cultural problem that it is.

“I haven’t just singled out rappers,” Obama told Al Sharpton’s National Action Network conference last year, according to the New York Observer. “I’ve said I’ve heard those words [used by rappers] around the kitchen table in some homes. I hear them in the barber shop. I hear them on the basketball court. All of us have been complicit in diminishing ourselves.”

Obama here relies on the pro-forma defense of rap music. Yes, apologists say, it’s racist and sexist but it only reflects the racism and sexism of society.

Oh, really? Where else but rap do folks talk so openly and regularly about b------, n------ and hoes? What other industry makes millions of dollars from those words? Obama says he’s heard this kind of language on the basketball court. Which one? Not any NBA game. Players who curse during games are suspended and fined.

Where else but rap do you hear words like these from Obama supporter Jay-Z in his song “99 Problems?”

Now once upon a time not long ago

A n---- like myself had to strong arm a hoe

This is not a hoe in the sense of having a p---

But a p---- having no God Damn sense

Besides Jay-Z, Obama has also won support from rap mogul Russell Simmons, rapper Nas, whose new album is titled “N-----“ and 9/11 conspiracy theorist Mos Def.

It’s high time the media ask some tough questions. Why has Obama collaborated with rappers? Is he familiar with their words?  How could he not be? The senator’s spokesperson said that when he and Ludacris met the two men found common ground on AIDS prevention. How do you find common ground on sexual behavior with someone who calls women “b------?”

Have any rappers donated to his campaign? Will he return the money? Why has he not renounced support from rappers? Is this going to take 20 years like it did with Reverend Wright?

At stake here is something more fundamental than Obama’s rank hypocrisy. The willingness to break ranks with allies or anyone in your general orbit is the fundamental moral test for anyone engaged in public life.

In the 1980s, David Dinkins, New York City’s first black  mayor, without any public pressure unequivocally denounced Louis Farrakhan. (In contrast to Jesse Jackson who has not to this day.) Dinkins did not try to offer any context for Farrakhan’s hate mongering or liken him to a misguided uncle as Obama did with Wright.

Obama should follow Dinkins’ lead. The senator should say that instead of performing songs for him rappers would be better off playing in the Rev. Wright’s choir.

Barack, Jeremiah and all the rappers...are cut from the same “hate whitie” cloth.

This cloth is tightly woven in the church of “Black Liberation Theology”.

Barack has play to the “whities” for a few more months and after the election...we will all see the new CHANGED Barack.

Although it doesn’t help Obama’s overall image, the support of every gangsta rapper who knows how to rhyme “trigger” with you know what is not nearly as problematic for him as is his sitting in Trinity Church for several decades, listening to the hate speech of an anti-American, anti-White, anti-Semite like Wright.
One has no control over who supports you, but total control over the people you choose as your clergymen, your mentors, and your friends.

Ludacris calling President Bush handicapped is quite funny considering he is an ignorant lowlife. And, it seems to me that Obimbo’s crib is filled with whitey haters. Boy his grandma must be proud or has she heard yet he’s running for president.

Yeah, we're concerned, Ludacris, but not because he's only half white.

Listen to the Ludacris "song" here.

While we're on the subject of rappers and the commie left, I thought I'd throw this in...

Image of Shakur, Snoop Doggy Dogg, and Suge Knight during Shakur's tenure on Death Row (1996)

"Tupac Amaru Shakur was born in the East Harlem section of Manhattan in New York City, New York.[3] He was named after Túpac Amaru II, an Incan revolutionary who led an indigenous uprising against Spain and subsequently received capital punishment.

His mother, Afeni Shakur, was an active member of the Black Panther Party in New York in the late 1960s and early 1970s; Shakur was born just one month after her acquittal on more than 100 charges of "Conspiracy against the United States government and New York landmarks" in the New York Panther 21 court case.[4] Although officially unconfirmed by the Shakur family,[5] several sources list his birth name as either "Parish Lesane Crooks"[6][7] or "Lesane Parish Crooks".[8]

Afeni feared her enemies would attack her son, and disguised their relation using a different last name, only to change it three months[6] or a year later, following her marriage to Mutulu Shakur.

Struggle and incarceration surrounded Shakur from an early age. His godfather, Elmer "Geronimo" Pratt, a high ranking Black Panther, was convicted of murdering a school teacher during a 1968 robbery, although his sentence was later overturned.

His stepfather, Mutulu Shakur, spent four years at large on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list beginning in 1982, when Shakur was a pre-teen. Mutulu was wanted in part for having helped his sister Assata Shakur (also known as Joanne Chesimard), Tupac's godmother, to escape from a penitentiary in New Jersey, where she had been incarcerated for allegedly shooting a state trooper to death in 1973.

Mutulu was caught in 1986 and imprisoned for an attempted robbery of a Brinks armored car in which two police officers and a guard were killed.[9]

Tupac had a half-sister, Sekyiwa, two years his junior, and an older stepbrother, Mopreme "Komani" Shakur, who appeared on many of his recordings.

The 1981 Former Weather Underground members/Black Liberation Army, Black Panthers, Brinks truck robbery and murder(my title)

Jeral Wayne Williams (AKA Mutulu Shakur)

"The armored truck's final stop was the Nanuet National Bank on the second level of the mall. The crew was due to pick up almost $1.6 million dollars in cash from the bank. Inside the truck was an additional several hundred dollars in cash from earlier collections. Pete Paige was assigned to guard his partner as he handled the cash. His partner was assigned to enter the bank, retrieve the moneybags with Paige and place them into the back of the armored vehicle.

Also in the same parking lot that afternoon was a red Chevy van that cruised the area while the guards went inside the mall. The rear and side windows had been covered with plastic so no one could see inside. Inside the van was a man named Mutulu Shakur, 31, already a veteran of several armored car and bank robberies committed in the Bronx, Mt. Vernon, NY and Paramus, NJ. Shakur was an adopted name. His real name, or slave name as he described it, was Jeral Wayne Williams. He was a black nationalist who ran a financially corrupt acupuncture clinic in Lincoln Hospital in New York City, the first such clinic in the Bronx. Williams was an articulate and persuasive individual who recruited many disciples to follow him. Under the banner of black self-determination, he convinced his accomplices that it was up to them to seize funds from legitimate sources and "redistribute" the money to various black causes. With each robbery committed, the gang improved on its methods and became more sophisticated. They studied the reaction of guards and the police. They took the time to learn how police handled and investigated such crimes. Then, they made the appropriate adjustments on the next job.

"David J. Gilbert, 37, rented the vehicle that same day in the Bronx. Gilbert was a long time member of the Weather Underground and a fugitive from the state of Colorado where he faced charges of assault and possession of explosives. The passenger in the front seat of the U Haul was Kathy Boudin [another former Weather Underground member], on the run from the law since the townhouse explosion in 1970. The couple had dropped off their one-year old child with a babysitter in the morning and was waiting for the return of the red van."

"In the back of the red van were Cecilio 'Chui' Ferguson, 35, Samuel Brown AKA Solomon Bouines, 41, Samuel Smith AKA Mtayari Sundiata, 37, and Donald Weems AKA Kuwasi Balagoon, 35. There were others present, but it has never been proven who, or how many. All the men in back of the van were members of a group they called 'The Family.' Most of them had ties to the Black Panthers or the Black Liberation Army, radical political groups that had many violent confrontations with police during the 1970s."

"At approximately 3:55 p.m., Paige, a 24-year Brink's veteran and his partner, Joe Trombino, 48, exited the doors to the Mall rolling out the moneybags on a hand truck. They walked over to the Brink's truck and began to load up the bags onto the rear deck. Simultaneously, the red van pulled up and the rear doors swung open. One of the suspects, armed with a shotgun, ran to the front of the truck and immediately fired two blasts directly at the bulletproof windshield. The guard in the front seat ducked just in time and was unhurt.

Another suspect, wearing a ski mask, opened up with his M-16 automatic rifle before his feet even hit the pavement, striking Paige in the neck, arm and chest. He was killed instantly.

Joe Trombino fired just one shot before he was hit several times in his upper arm and shoulder. The bullets all but severed his arm off his shoulder. "I've got no arm!" he screamed. But Trombino would survive that day, only to perish years later in another terrorist attack at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001."

"In 1985, former Weather Underground members Susan Rosenberg (who also was implicated in the Nyack robbery) and Linda Evans were apprehended while transporting 740 pounds of explosives which they both acknowledged were slated for use in additional bombings. Rosenberg was sentenced to 58 years in prison, Evans 40; President Bill Clinton pardoned both women in January 2001."

Obama surrounds himself with hateful folks. This is more than having a violent/racist song on his ipod - there is a relationship here.

Yes, especially since it involves the Weather Underground again. Also, the Black Liberation Army. Wasn't it incredible that the Brinks truck guard survived having his arm nearly shot off in the robbery only to be killed 20 years later in the 911 World Trade Center attack! Both TWU and the Black Panthers (the original ones), btw, came out of the organization, Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). All of the above were Maoist-revolutionary in their ideology. Louie Farrakhan is another one who goes ga-ga over Mao. See my FR home page for more on all this.
