"This is Ludacris, and I'm giving away 20 free cars. ..."

The famous rapper was pulling an Oprah in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. In the parking lot, the crowd was dancing. But the bass of Ludacris' latest single blasting from the dealership's loudspeakers was secondary inspiration for one Atlanta grandmother. "Lord Jesus. ... He brought this car to me, baby!" she shouted, arms raised. "This is God's work!"

""Lord Jesus. ... He brought this car to me, baby!" she shouted, arms raised. "This is God's work!"

Ludacris enjoys doing the Lord's work, in fact, he mentions his strong faith in God in the video at the dealership. He also praises God in his music, such as from his "Chicken-N-Beer" Album

Here for example are the lyrics for his praise song- "P-popping" , which is some sort of hymn, I think.

He might think he's doing something great, but he's addressing the wrong crowd.

I have a very strong feeling that the people who got cars have a very strong, healthy "entitlement" mentality already.

Wow, if it weren’t for the INTERNET, we’d never know about these things that later will be construed as LIES and SMEAR campaigns.

I agree. For example, this Ludacris music video is NOT about pot smoking. No sir. Oh wait, it is nevermind.

I guess he's just doing more of the lord's work.

These people are prosperity gospel diciples. It’s really sad what these people have become. I’m sure they’ll want to gov’t to pay their maintenance bills.

No class. Elvis gave away cars all the time and never made a production of it. It only got into the news because the recipients would alert the media. E did five times as much charity work as these thugs, but never said, “Look at me, how good I am!”

Just pointing out the differnce in star quality today as opposed to...then.

The rapper said that if listeners were able to pay the tax, registration, tags and insurance they should go to his nonprofit foundation web site to write an essay why they deserve new wheels. So Ludacris has a nonprofit foundation. Humm...that's interesting.

Wait a second.......There are the cars from the Cash for Clunkers that the Government would not pay for......in other words this are trade ins the dealer didn’t get paid for......or rather these are cars the owners dumped at a dealer and walked away from.....Ludacris gave away 20 cars that no one paid for to poor people.

Good luck getting these cars registered and titled.

Are these essays available online? I'm sure they would be very entertaining (and educational).

Elvis gave cars to blacks and whites. Did Ludacris give any cars to whites. Blacks are some of the most racists folks on earth.

We could go to the Ludacris Foundation web site to see if the winning essays are posted. I'm watching Glenn Beck live on Fox right now.
