Critics on the left are constantly complaining that right-leaning radio talkers are getting their daily programming straight from the talking points of the Republican Party. This is one of the main reasons why they're so eager to implement the 'Fairness Doctrine' and either silence talk radio or force an artificial balance on broadcast content so that their message gets equal time. Their argument is that every word that Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly utters is essentially a free political commercial for the GOP, their policies and their candidates. How much more troubled they must be by this week's developments in...

A Wartime President Hugh Hewitt President Bush invited ten talk hosts into the Oval Office for an hour of conversation today --Glenn Beck, Bill Bennett, Neal Boortz, Scott Hennon, Laura Ingraham, Lars Larson, Mark Levin, Michael Medved, Janet Parshall and me. This was an off-the-record conversation, and so I won't be quoting the president. I will say on today's show that I am confident about the course of the war and about the momentum in Iraq, as well of the president's absolute commitment to doing right by the troops and his concern for every lost and wounded soldier and their...

FReeper governsleastgovernsbest, AKA Mark Finkelstein, will be on the Lars Larson Show this evening at about 6:30 EDT. Lars and Mark will be discussing the NY Times leak of the government anti-terror program designed to track terrorists' financial transactions. Time permitting they might also get into the amazing ability of Democrats and their MSM friends to switch gears without missing a beat. For months they have demanded a troop reduction. But as soon as there are indications a reduction might be in the offing, they criticize the Bush administration for timing withdrawals for political purposes! Campbell Brown’s interview with Gen....

Wyoming still struggling with AIDS 25 years later Two years ago, the state reported the largest number of newly diagnosed HIV and AIDS since 1997. By Jennifer Frazer rep8@wyomingnews.com Published in the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle CHEYENNE - Twenty-five years ago, Pamela Reamer Williams was a reporter in Portland, Ore., when she first heard of a new and deadly disease. Her colleague, Lars Larson, now a conservative radio show host, had a penchant for reading the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, a short publication of the latest in the medical world. It was through Larson that...

Sunday, April 02, 2006 Lars Larson C onsider the oxymoron. Hundreds of thousands of law-breaking aliens march in America's streets demanding that their right to live and work in the U.S. illegally be respected. Fearful of backlash at the polls from millions of aliens who, in theory, have no right to vote, the U.S. Congress is preparing to reward those who have broken our laws with the most precious treasure on Earth -- the opportunity to become United States citizens. The politically correct call these people immigrants, but what kind of immigrant enters illegally, works illegally, identifies himself illegally and...

An editor admonished me years ago, "You don’t have to trim your conservative sails for a particular state." He said, "As long as the messenger is pleasant and articulate, like Ronald Reagan, the message doesn’t have to be watered down." At the time, I was pointing out to him how Connecticut Republican John Rowland had accepted the advice that he had to be more moderate than he was in Congress to win the governorship and that he therefore changed from pro-life to pro-abortion and was elected on his second try for the statehouse in 1990. Although my editor had nothing...

Rasmussen: Atkinson Fares Best Against Any Democrat Central Point - Oregon State Senator and candidate for Governor Jason Atkinson would fare best against any Democrat of the three Republicans battling for the nomination. In a February 23rd Rasmussen Reports Poll, Atkinson trailed Governor Kulongoski by only 12% versus Saxton at 13% and Mannix at 15%. If Kulongoski's strongest opponent, former State Treasurer Jim Hill wins the primary, Atkinson trails by only 6% compared to Mannix at 12% and Saxton at 13%. According to the pollster, Rasmussen Reports was the nation's most accurate polling firm during the Presidential election between Bush...

GRANTS PASS, Ore. – Hoping to rise above the partisan knell and use his youthful exuberance and idealism to attract disenchanted voters, state Sen. Jason Atkinson plans to be the first Republican governor in 24 years to lead blue-state Oregon. While some detractors have scoffed at Atkinson's youth, at 35 he has eight years of experience in the state Legislature, having grown up in a family steeped in both politics and media. That combination of youth, experience and media savvy just might be the formula that could put the senator in the governor's office, some observers believe. Intoning a populist...

This is what i wrote to the police department, and part of what I wrote to Lars Larson (Lars I got more heated).

Today at the Salmon Creek Fred Meyers (Vancouver, WA), I was sitting in my car well my brother ran into Freddys to get a money order. Well in their across a row from me I saw an older gentlemen (the vandal) get out his car and mark the back windown of the pickup nexted to him. So when my brother gets back I said drive by this pickup I think someone might have done something to this car. So sure enough the guy took a marker to the back of the guys car and crossed out his Bush sticker. So we circle the parking lot and we see the vandle still driving around (obviously searching for the next vehicle). We then thought to confront him but I realized I didnt have my cell phone with me, so we decide to come home and contact you guys (the police). Well on the way out of the parking lot, I see a Mini Van with a black sharpie to their bumper over their Bush Sticker.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — State Sen. Jason Atkinston told listeners of the Lars Larson Show on Thursday that he is running for governor. The Jackonville Republican said he was fulfilling a promise to let the conservative talkshow host and his listeners be the first to know of his plans. Atkinson isn't well known statewide, but has said he believes that a fresh face is exactly what Republicans need to finally recapture the governor's office after five straight losses to the Democrats.

Friday, October 24, 2003 2003 My wife, Tina, had a hard time getting to sleep last night. She was afraid. Afraid of the dozens of strangers calling our house late at night. Calling with profanities, veiled threats...and Michael Moore made it happen. It all began with the phony baloney author and film maker...yes, the same guy who won an Oscar for his so-called "documentary" in which the first scenes were faked. That kind fame lets him draw crowds...like the ten thousand at Memorial Coliseum last night. Moore has a strange sense of humor. He lacks the guts to meet up...

Lars Larson sat in tonight for Michael Savage on the Savage Nation. His question to his listeners was: "Do you think Condi Rice should run for Governor of California?" The buzz is out there, Lars suggested. Lars stated: "A McNally (?) poll, done mostly for personal curiosity, found 66% favored Condi Rice over [17%] Arnold Schwarzenegger in the primary and an absolute win in the general election. California is now $40 billion in the hole and Californians are taxed to the hilt with auto registration fees to be raised even higher. Lars also said in speaking with Chuck Buck, CEO...

Lars Larsen, a Portland, Oregon talk show host lamented for many hours the week of April 1st about Portland Mayor Vera Katz, who has been encouraging the war protesters, by allowing them to march in the streets, impeding traffic and making a general nuisance of themselves. Her staff had indicated earlier she was planning to march with the war protesters but perhaps chickened out under pressure. The Portland fire department was told to take all the flags off their equipment fearing attacks by protesters. Lars reported one policeman was hit in the head with a baseball bat requiring stitches. Another...
