Kabul airport was shut down since Aug. 31, when the massive U.S.-led airlift ended, and the last troops withdrew after 20 years of war. Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said on Thursday that the Gulf state was working with Turkey and talking to the Taliban to provide potential technical support to get the airport back in operation, Reuters reported.
