The military loved this guy when he made them look good for saving a baby during the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. Now that he told his story at a Trump rally…they’re going after him.
Guy should be awarded a medal and instead this administration wants to punish him for the apparent crime of appearing with Trump (and not even in uniform)?

“The 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) has initiated a command investigation regarding LCpl Hunter Clark’s attendance at the event last weekend to determine if any DoD policies were violated,” said Capt. Kelton J Cochran, a spokesman for the 24th MEU. “Any details pertaining to this incident are not releasable while the investigation is being conducted.”
Cochran did not specify what policies that Clark may have violated, but the Defense Department does not allow active-duty troops to “speak before a partisan political gathering, including any gathering that promotes a partisan political party, candidate, or cause...”

If he was just at the rally on his own dime and own time in civilian clothing, no worries. If he was a speaker, or endorsed anyone while using his identity as a Marine, even while on his own time and dime and out of uniform, big no-no.

Unconstitutional. You do not surrender your 1st Amendment rights when in uniform. In addition, Trump is not a declared candidate and his rallies are not Republican Party events, so what “partisan” activity was he engaged in?

Seems that if he did this on his own time, out of uniform, and made no reference or statement claiming to represent the military, it should be off-limits for the military to question his activity. Nothing about a Trump rally is illegal that I'm aware of, nothing advocates violence, terrorism, or illegal activity either.
Maybe they are investigating why they didn't get their own invites? Or to see if he can get them invites to future Trump rallies?

If they hate Trump that much we ARE headed for civil war, if nothing else to keep them from killing us. This is completely crazy. It’s total. It is hard to imagine someone having that kind of hatred for Trump and conservatives.
