Doing Business Jim Quinn“Quinn & Rose” will ride again in Pittsburgh, this time on iHeart’s sports “ESPN Pittsburgh” WBGG/970, its translator at 106.3 and the HD2 signal of sister country “Big 104.7” WPGB. No announcement yet from the station, but Jim Quinn said yesterday on his own syndicated show that he and former Pittsburgh radio partner Rose Somma-Tennant will be heard on WBGG from 8am to 10am weekdays, starting September 24. Sounds like “ESPN Pittsburgh” is picking up part of Quinn’s existing show, now with the addition of “Rose.” Jim Quinn’s worked in Pittsburgh at top 40 KQV (including when...

Conservative radio hosts Jim Quinn and Rose Tennent, formerly of WPGB 104.7 FM, have said they turned down an offer to be hosts on the newly reconfigured WJAS-AM (1320), but the station’s ownership would not confirm their statement. “Note: we have declined the offer from WJAS. Terms offered precluded our ability to live stream to our audience which was essential,” the duo posted Thursday on their Twitter account (@warroom). On Friday, they wrote and then deleted a similar tweet. Frank Iorio, owner of Radio Partners LLC, which purchased the station earlier this month, said Friday that the company had been...

Attached is a link to a PPG article about Jim Quinn's and Rose Tennant's first public appearance since their removal from Quinn & Rose, "America's Morning Show". Apparently, the turnout was quite large. I listened to Quinn & Rose for over 18 years until they were abruptly removed from the air a couple weeks ago. Clear Channel originally stated that "contract negotiations had broken down" and that they "were unable to come to financial terms". What I have learned from well-placed "A1" sources with access is that Quinn & Rose were summarily fired; they were NOT in contract negotiations. Unfortunately,...

Official Website of the Pittsburgh Steelers This year is quickly moving in the wrong direction with regards to an effective playoff run. What are your thoughts on the some of the issues and how things need to change for a turnaround in 2006? Me? #1 The Running Game The running game isn't quite at the level of past teams. Understatement of the year, huh? Operating a historically ball control offense, without a featured back capable of providing a consistent 3-4 yrds per carry, is a problem. That void allows pass coverages more flexibility without fear of a Steeler running...

This audio (The Warroom with Jim Quinn - WPGB Pittsburgh) contains a partial recording of the Kerry debacle the media is hiding. It was broadcast in it's entire state on Jackson, MS local television. Anyone have the audio links? How can you resist Kerry muttering the words "my brother" to be followed by a chorus of laughter? Then receiving rounding boo's and catcalls for his equating the civil rights to gay rights? You've got help me here ...

* archive audio from the August 12th program * I was finishing office work while listening to the archives of The Quinn & Rose program which aired Friday morning. Many times over, Quinn develops ideas and theories and proceeds to roll them off one after another ... often leaving the opportunity for discussion of interesting points to slide by without follow-up. I found some interest in discussing and listening to a few other opinions on Quinn's idea of a US mainland hit ... Quinn stated that an evolving terrorist network may take a different approach to future attack's against the...

Jim Quinn, host of the morning talk show "Quinn and Rose in the Morning, on FM 104.9 in Pittsburgh, as well as a number of other ClearChannel affiliates in Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, offered an interesting perspective on the murders in Atlanta, the women involved, and the role of political correctness in this entire tragedy. Quinn posits that, at the beginning of this tragedy is a woman (51 years old, 5' tall, etc.) in a job for which she was not well-suited because of political correctness ("a woman can do anything a man can do"). She was not...
