Joy Behar stirred outrage Thursday as The View host complained that the war in Ukraine will disrupt her Italian getaway in the latest controversy to hit the tone-deaf talk show. The long-running gabfest was discussing Russia launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine when Behar began to whine about her summer trip getting ruined. Behar's foot-in-mouth moment comes on the heels of the global fury stirred by co-host Whoopi Goldberg after she said that Holocaust was 'not about race.' On Thursday, co-host Sunny Hostin, 53, laid out some of the facts regarding the warfare in eastern Europe, which saw mass evacuations...

Carona Nazis Close the Beach for Walking here on the West Coast of Florida away from crowded areas. We talked with a man who said he shouldn't have brought his beach chair as they only allow you to walk in the morning. This was far away from any crowded areas. My wife, who is an ER Nurse on our 25th anniversary, can't believe they have taken it to this extreme. We said to one another "Will they shut it down for the next Flu seasons to come"?? We were going to go to Bora Bora this Thursday, but the doctors...

Apparently this never got posted here because of the limitations of probation, so here you go: So...here we are...18 years. Mostly good. Clintons a Liar, Dr Raouls costumes, AppyPappy's daughter singing the National Anthem, Kristinns wonderful reporting. The repugnant lies of Classy Green Eyed Blonde and DeepInTheHurtgenForest. The surreal cryptic posts of quidam. The lib trolls like Eschoir. The March for Justice? Heady times. They really were. Fighting against a President who had the gall to look us in the eye and lie to us. But the last 9 months? Absolutely unrecognizable. A lot of great FReepers run off. And...

In her breathtaking new memoir, Phenomenal: A Hesitant Adventurer’s Search for Wonder in the Natural World published Tuesday, Leigh Ann Henion, 37, writes of the birth of her 5-year-old son Archer: “I love and marvel over him as if he were my own heart pushed into the world and, still beating, set on top of my chest. Yet I cannot help but mourn the loss of something I can’t quite place. I have an inner emptiness—literal and figurative—that I’ve never felt before.” What follows is a raw, sometimes gut-wrenching account of the dark and lonely place Henion finds herself in...

Rob and Linda Robertson did what they believed was expected of them as good Christians. When their 12-year-old son Ryan said he was gay, they told him they loved him, but he had to change. He entered “reparative therapy,” met regularly with his pastor and immersed himself in Bible study and his church youth group. After six years, nothing changed. A despondent Ryan cut off from his parents and his faith, started taking drugs and in 2009, died of an overdose. “Now we realize we were so wrongly taught,” said Rob Robertson, a firefighter for more than 30 years who...

Former vice president Al Gore is calling for an end to the Electoral College — the system that cost him the presidency in 2000. Gore said that many voters who live outside the dozen or so battleground states are cheated by the system that allocates delegates from the state level on a winner-take-all basis. He called for presidential elections to be determined by the popular vote.

"Ultimately it's how we choose to treat one another and how we love one another," President Obama said about the shooting in a Colorado movie theater. "It's what we do on a daily basis to give our lives meaning and to give our lives purpose. That's what matters. At the end of the day, what we'll remember will be those we loved and what we did for others. That's why we're here. I'm sure that many of you who are parents here have the same reaction that I did when I heard this news. My daughters go to the movies....

Last year, Bishop Jim Swilley spoke from his heart to his congregation at Church in the Now in Conyers, Ga. He came out as a gay man, shocking many of his mega-church congregants and making national headlines. The Oct. 13, 2010, sermon sparked a mass exodus from the church. Attendance dropped from approximately 2,500 on any given Sunday to only about 500. The church was forced into foreclosure on its massive property and is now renting one of the buildings back from the bank for worship. The Georgia Voice spoke with Swilley last year about his coming out, and recently...

At a fundraiser in New York, Obama likened his efforts to reform government to those of Andrew Cuomo, but then Obama also compared what he was going through to the trials and tribulations of Martin Luther King, Jr. (via Sam Foster): Before leaving, Obama likened himself to one more figure. Martin Luther King, Jr.“I think that we forget when he was alive there was nobody who was more vilified, nobody who was more controversial, nobody who was more despairing at times,” he said.

President Obama doled out some more gifts in London on Wednesday, including signed, "personalized" copies of his new children's book for Prime Minister David Cameron's kids. He also gave them toy scooters and a jigsaw puzzle of Bo (and a stuffed Bo), according to the White House. Read the official gift announcement: "The President and Mrs. Obama gave the Prime Minister a custom-made pair of White House Magnolia wood and sterling silver cufflinks engraved on the reverse with the President's signature, as well as a first edition of President John F. Kennedy's book, Profiles in Courage. "The President and Mrs....

After painstaking research, it can now be revealed that contrary to popular belief, Barack Obama may not have attended college at Columbia University. It is true that some speculation in this direction has shown up on the internet in the past. These rumors have been given credence that few if any of those whose stay at Columbia coincided with Obama can remember him. Some have speculated that Obama did not attend Columbia at all; others, that he connected with various others who had Communist leanings, such as William Ayers, or even Cloward and Piven, and was forced to conceal his...

Scene: onboard the USS Carl Vincent Sailor: (Takes Osama out of the cooler and thumps his head on the counter. Throws him up in the air and watches him plummet to the floor.) "Now that's what I call a dead terrorist." Obama: No, no.....No, 'e's stunned! Sailor: STUNNED?!? Obama: Yeah! You stunned him, just as he was wakin' up! Afghanistan Blues stun easily, Seaman. Sailor: Um...now look...now look, mate, I've definitely 'ad enough of this. That terrorist is definitely deceased, and when I purchased him not eight hours ago, you assured me that his total lack of movement was due...

I am sick and tired of this site being taken over by Catholics ( of which I am one ) stories or proverbs. This is a news site not a religion site. Go do that somewhere else. I am not opposed to your prostilazion(sp), just not here. We lose credibility if any religious group dictates or can be quoted from this site. As a long term member of this site I regret posting this information, but the site has been buried in Catholic stuff recently and it should be shunted to some separate page.

He's Working in You Today's Scripture "…He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:6, NIV). Today's Word from Joel and Victoria Sometimes when God is doing a work in our lives, things can get a little uncomfortable. We may encounter people who are hard to get along with or have circumstances that seem beyond our control. When this happens, instead of complaining, getting sour, or trying to change everything around you, why don't you look deep inside and say, "Lord, thank You for doing a...

This is a quick response to a forum posting discussing my article a couple of days ago discussing how the global warming hysteria was foisted on the world population. I argued that it wasn't difficult to understand: global warming proponents merely needed to use the techniques that had already been shown to be effective in the promotion of evolutionary theory. This is a response and some clarification.

Those of you. You know who you are. I don't care who you are or what your reasoning is. Your siding with the maistream media against Palin is doing nothing to help Republicans or Conservatism in general. You are hurting your own cause. Unless you are a DU troll. Or a liberal Republican who has no idea what the heck you are even talking about. Ani Palin comments (such as "shes not fit to be President") should be seen as trolling and should not be tolerated on Free Republic, any conservative web site or any conservative setting. While I am...

Living Breakthrough Minded Today's Scripture "For You, O Lord, are my Lamp; the Lord lightens my darkness" (II Samuel 22:29, AMP) Today's Word from Joel and Victoria I’ve learned when things are difficult and don’t look like they are going our way, that’s when it’s the easiest to lose our joy, vision, and enthusiasm; to believe that things will never get any better. But during those challenging seasons in life, we have to learn to do just the opposite. Right in the midst of the adversity, that’s the time–more than ever–to expect a flood of His favor; a flood...
