Judge Carol Bagley Amon’s opinion exposed the deceit of abortion apologists and the symbiotic relationship between them and the New York attorney general’s office. On Friday, in a rare move, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals pulled a 100-plus page opinion it had issued in March against a group of pro-life protestors. The short three-sentence order in People of the State of New York v. Griepp—in which the court, without elaboration, granted rehearing of the case, vacated its previous opinion, and reinstated the district court’s decision—tells none of the bigger story of this continuing saga: a story of complicity between the...

As expected, a federal judge who has ties to Planned Parenthood permanently blocked undercover journalist David Daleiden this week from releasing additional videos that Daleiden says show evidence of infanticide in the abortion industry. U.S. District Judge William Orrick issued the permanent injunction at the request of the National Abortion Federation (NAF) and demanded that Daleiden turn over the video footage, according to lawyers representing NAF. The order applies to about 200 hours of video footage that Daleiden and other undercover investigators with the Center for Medical Progress recorded at a NAF conference. Additionally, the judge granted NAF lawyers’ motion...

Planned Parenthood likes to paint itself as a crucial provider of affordable women's health care to the poor. But it also aids the rich. JillStanek.com reports that the Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s 2012 IRS Form 990 shows that CEO Cecile Richards made over one-half million dollars – $523,616 – for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2013. In fact, for that 2012 reporting period, PPFA’s 12-member executive team tallied a combined income of $3.87 million. When questioned about it, Richards has replied “None of my salary is paid for by the federal government.” But if “[n]early half of...

A baby believed to be less than a day old was discovered in an abandoned dumptruck off Northwood Circle in Whitfield County, authorities said. Whitfield 911 received the call about 7 p.m. Tuesday, said Rick Swiney, a captain with the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office. The baby was discovered by a neighbor who was close to the truck and heard crying, he said. The baby was rushed to Hamilton Medical Center, police said. Hospital officials believe the infant, which they listed in stable condition, was less than 12 hours old when it arrived at the hospital. Investigators are interviewing residents and...

State Rep. Jessica Farrar pushed a proposal through a House committee last week that could lessen penalties for some mothers who kill their infants. The measure is aimed at women who show signs of postpartum psychosis, a rare condition that's been cited in such high-profile murder cases as that of Andrea Yates, the Texas mom who drowned her five children six months after giving birth to her youngest.

I've had an abortion. Have you? The recent decision to ban virtually all abortions in South Dakota has generated a great deal of raucous arguing; many abortion opponents hope the new legislation will be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court and lead to the reversal of Roe vs. Wade. As usual, the argument suggests the existence of clear-cut opinion, the "supporting" or "opposing" of the act itself. What is not discussed, of course, are people's hearts. Women readers, of course, know their own answer to my question; many of their men would be surprised by it. Many men don't know...

Abortion Doctor Says Hillary Clinton Was His Patient By John-Henry Westen NEW YORK, December 1, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Abortionist William F. Harrison was profiled in the LA Times yesterday, as a 70-year-old doctor who is proud to have "terminated at least 20,000 pregnancies" since he began performing abortions in 1973. What the LA Times did not report is that Harrison, claims to have had New York Senator Hillary Clinton as his patient right around the time he commenced the procedure. Harrison wrote a book review for Amazon.com on Bill Clinton's book "My Life". In that July 24, 2004 review, unearthed...

Focusing on the foetus unfairly obscures the context of a hard decision, writes Leslie Cannold. The documentary by the British filmmaker Julia Black, My Foetus, won't screen in Australia until August 8, but debate has already begun about whether the film should be censored and the impact it will have on abortion politics. The film, made while Black was pregnant with her first child, reconsiders an abortion she had over a decade earlier. It shows a woman, four weeks' pregnant, having a suction termination, as well as foetal remains at 10-, 11- and 21-weeks' gestation. The filmmaker claims, in an...

Woman allegedly throws infant sons into river ST. PAUL, Minnesota (AP) --A woman allegedly threw her twin infant sons into the Mississippi River, then jumped in herself, screaming incoherently as she fell, police said. Several people waiting at the river's edge Friday for July Fourth fireworks to start leapt in after them. A man rescued one of the 11-month-old boys, then pulled the mother to safety with the help of others. By then, the second boy had disappeared, said Police Cmdr. Brian Coyle. The 24-year-old woman, Naomi Gaines, and the rescued boy were expected to make a full recovery. By...

SEOUL, South Korea — On a cold March day, the bleak monotony of a North Korean prison work detail was broken when a squad of male guards arrived and herded new women prisoners together. One by one, they were asked if they were pregnant. "They took them away in a car, and then forcibly gave them abortion shots," Song Myung Hak, 33, a former prisoner, recalled in a interview here about the day two years ago when six pregnant prisoners were taken from his work unit in the Shinuiju Provincial Detention Camp. "After the miscarriage shots, the women were forced...
