  • Newt Gingrich: Pelosi is 'whacked,' 'deeply out of touch' if she attacks Trump on the economy

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's new initiative to attack President Trump on the economy shows just how "out of touch with reality" she is, the former speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said Wednesday. Appearing on "America's Newsroom" with host Ed Henry, Gingrich said that he was surprised by reports she would pivot to that approach because of the Trump administration's economic successes, including record-low unemployment numbers, strong wage growth, and an influx of jobs created. In what the administration has touted as a "blue-collar boom," in January the country added 225,000 new jobs and wage growth remained at 3.1...

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)There are 65 prominent people who might run for president in 2016. The Democratic and Republican fields contrast sharply. Hillary Clinton is the clear front-runner, while there is no front-runner on the Republican side. Twenty-three Democrats have been mentioned as a candidate or are eyeing a bid, according to an analysis by The Hill. The GOP side has 42. Most of the people on this list won’t run, and some have adamantly claimed that they’re not interested. But many politicians have changed their minds on seeking the White House. Before mounting his 2008 bid, then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) said he...

I am often asked when I chose to become Catholic. However, it is more truthful to say that over the course of several years I gradually became Catholic and then decided one day to accept the faith I had already come to embrace. My wife, Callista, is a lifelong Catholic and has been a member of the choir of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., for 15 years. Although I was Southern Baptist, I had attended Mass with Callista every Sunday at the basilica to watch her sing with the choir. I accompanied...

Juiced by super PACs, this year’s presidential contest has seen a 1600 percent increase in interest-group sponsored ads over 2008, according to a study by the Wesleyan Media Project of Middletown, Conn. (SNIP) That’s a 65:1 ratio. Unless that disparity closed in the final six days, 20 percent might be pretty good for Gingrich tonight
  • Gingrich: Pelosi comments ‘hysterical’

Newt Gingrich, responding Wednesday to comments from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi that he has no shot at winning the presidency, said his campaign makes his former House colleague and other Democrats “hysterical.” “As my campaign has gotten stronger, the attacks have become more hysterical and more factually incorrect,” Mr. Gingrich said in an interview Wednesday with The Washington Times-affiliated “America's Morning News” radio program. Mrs. Pelosi, who served on the House Ethics Committee when it reprimanded Mr. Gingrich in 1997, referenced that investigation when she offered up similar comments about Mr. Gingrich last month. Mr Gingrich challenged Mrs. Pelosi...

Dan Balz Florida Will Show Which GOP Candidate Has Momentum By Dan Balz, Published: January 21 Columbia, S.C. — Just a week ago, what was most striking about the Republican presidential race was the possibility that the party’s least-dominant front-runner in many years — Mitt Romney — could effectively wrap up the GOP nomination faster than anyone in his party ever had. That came crashing down Saturday night. Newt Gingrich’s stunning victory in South Carolina, which came after he finished fourth in Iowa and fifth in New Hampshire, respectively, rewrites in dramatic fashion the latest story line of the Republican...

Brit Hume trashed Newt on Fox and called him nothing less than a Bomb thrower.  That's an understatement. Brit said that Newt attacked Paul Ryan and handed a talking point to the Democrats......"vote for a Republican and Medicare will be gone."  All that on day 5 of his campaign. Brit pretty much said that Newt is going to implode even faster than he did as Speaker of the House. He complimented Ryan for his detailed plan and ridicules Newt for not offering anything but a lot of noise.

Newt Gingrich was the major attraction at an Iowa social conservative confab Monday night, telling a packed house that President Barack Obama is beholden to the "secular, socialist left" and that a change must come. Gingrich, the former House Speaker who told the audience at the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition forum here that he's "exploring" a run, insisted the political climate across America is "fundamental to the nation's future." He slammed the president for his use of executive orders, accused him of being soft in his support of Israel, and hit other tea-party favored themes.

A bipartisan, Congressionally mandated task force headed by Newt Gingrich, the former House speaker, and George Mitchell, the former Senate majority leader, has presented a clear statement of America's national interest in a revived and effective United Nations. Their balanced and thoughtful report, prepared over six months, features an unsparing analysis of the U.N.'s current problems and weaknesses. It also offers constructive recommendations on mobilizing Washington's powerful influence to promote urgent and necessary reforms.... The task force report offers useful proposals on restraining nuclear and other weapons proliferation, and on peacekeeping and peace-building, human rights, economic development, and strengthening the...
