Are we getting dumber as a society? In this 20 minute or so video, Nate makes some fun and offensive comparisons of our world today vs. 2006 when the movie Idiocracy first appeared on the big screen. I laughed a little, was offended a little, but mostly just nodded along in agreement looking back at scenes from the movie to where we are today. Those were my reactions so you have been warned.

When you think Halloween, it’s hard not to picture candy corn (gross, but iconic), kids in overpriced costumes, and jack-o’-lanterns grinning like they just got their student loans forgiven. But this spooky celebration, now pretty much an American pastime, wasn’t born in the aisles of Spirit Halloween stores. Nope, it started as a Celtic tradition before America slapped its commercial magic all over it and exported it worldwide like a Marvel movie.

Diary of a Snow Shoveler (probable location - North East) December 8 - 6:00 PM It started to snow. The first snow of the season and the wife and I took our cocktails and sat for hours by the window watching the huge soft flakes drift down from heaven. It looked like a Grandma Moses Print. So romantic we felt like newlyweds again. I love snow!

So I recently retired from the air force and I'm just looking to keep busy and keep my brain learning. I created a mobile game that you can try on itcho.io. I'll soon be releasing it on the app stores (iphone and android). I'd love your feedback on what you think. Is the music for each mode appropriate? Is it fun? Are the modes distinct and interesting enough to try each one? You can try the game here: https://schlista.itch.io/kabocha

This morning I'm picking up my brand spanking new Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road edition. It's my first new vehicle in almost 40 years. While I was married, all the new vehicles went to the now ex-wife because I wanted her to be the safest possible and I was ok driving the 'hand me downs' due to my very short commute. As we had kids, that continued with her getting the new vehicles with the most safety features for her and our two sons. I never considered it a "sacrifice" to always drive the highly used vehicles and her & the kids getting...
