Authorities reported making an unusual discovery in the rural Starr County community of Fronton on Tuesday. Border Patrol agents reported finding two AK-47 assault rifles hidden in a grassy area near the Rio Grande River. The agents were investigating a report about a suspicious vehicle in the area when they discovered the two assault rifles. Each rifle had one round of ammunition loaded in the chamber and 29 additional rounds in the magazine.
