for those of us that are not so pc literate, can someone tell me how you do the special text functions, like italic, underline and boldface, that and pasting graphics in the body of the thread

I don't think that a recall is really in the GOP's best interest. Even if Arnold (I won't attempt to spell his name) is elected, Calif is still stuck with a liberal as governor. I'd rather see Davis stay on, as he'd be ineffective. Keeping an unpopular Davis will keep many democrats at home on election day 2004, which would almost guarentee Bush CALIF in his reelection bid, all but guarentee a Republican (hopefully a real Republican) victory in the next gubitorial race, and may even help defeat Dianne Boxershorts on 04.

Why is Rush selling Arnold down the river? Okay, so we don't know if Schwarzenegger can run a state economy, but we sure know that Joe Davis can't. No, Arnold is not a social conservative, but the man knows basic economics and has proven he knows how to make money. We can all get sweaty about Arnold's passion for socialist programs for children and whatever all else, but Arnold said he recognizes the need for emergency action to stop the rush of businesses out of this state. It's an immediate problem. And Arnold is a Republican because he knows basic...

Just for fun, if you're NOT running for Governor of California, I'd like you to tell us why not? Everyone else seems to be. This is solely a humor-chat thread. If you have jpegs of anybody on earth, feel free to post them here to jazz up the thread.

Hello, I am looking everywhere for a Hillary Clinton Doormat that I could put outside my room- does Anyone here know where I could find one? I have looked for such a long time and can't find one.

Arnold is running but what can he do? I, myself, would not want the thankless job but if he is truly without ties perhaps he can just shut down the government until the budget is ballanced. Think anyone will notice?

My kid recently got a couple of those Heroclix figures, and I find the whole concept oddly attractive, and bringing out the nerd in me. I was looking at the other stuff WizKids do, and I was interested in the Mage Knight series as well. Is anyone playing these and having fun?

This is a vanity post; hope I did it correctly. I'm having a problem with a pool builder here in Glen Mills PA (between Philadelphia and Wilmington DE). I'm looking for an attorney who has some experience with PA consumer law and pool contractors if possible. Can anyone recommend someone good?

The more I think about it, the angrier I get about Ruth Bader Ginsburg's outrageous statement that the Supreme Court needs to consider foreign legal precedent and "international law" in making rulings. It seems to me that such a statement shows an outright violation of her oath, and is grounds for impeachment. Is there such a procedure? How does it work? Could a strong grass roots effort have any impact on making this a big issue? Your thoughts please, fellow Freepers.

We're compiling a list of America's remaining Grand Hotels and other resorts. Among them are Hotel Del, The Broadmoor, Greenbriar, Old Faithful Inn, The Cloisters, and The Homestead. Can you recommend others in the same league, with history and first-class service, which are still in business?

How many Episcopalian FReepers plan to break away from the church in the wake of the decision to bestow the title of Bishop on V. Gene Robinson?

Sorry for the vanity, but... Now that Laura Ingraham is moving to the AM time slot, before Rush, I can't find **any** 6:00pm thru 10:00pm conservative talk radio in the Washington D.C./Baltimore (although Baltimore is a bit far for evening AM reception) area. Any help would be appreciated! Nothing on AM630, AM980, AM1500. Any other stations to try? Listening over the Internet won't work for what I need. Thanks in advance.

After seeing the names of some of the players, I just KNOW that there are Freepers who play Battlefield 1942 online. While playing last night, I noticed one of my teammates was "PuffDaschle" (I'm "HillarysFatLegs"; previously I was "FreeperJ"). In the past, I've also played with/against "dittohead", "ElRushbo", and other presumable conservatives. For those of you who aren't familiar with this game, it's a highly addicting fps (first person shooter) that is based on numerous WW2 battles. There are also "mods" available for free download which use the programs "maps" but change the weapons available (there are also mods that...

If you think Bush brought honor and dignity to the White House simply because he is not getting BJs from interns... then you just might be a Bushbot If you think Bush was upfront, forthcoming and totally honest about his reasons for invading Iraq.... then you just might be a Bushbot If you think it is just a liberal myth that Bush is controlled by big business interests... then you just might be a Bushbot If you think Bush's positions on education, assault weapons, prescription drugs, etc. are just games he has to play and are really good for conservatism...

We are described by many in the media, as radical right wing Clinton haters. Even Limbaugh and Hugh Hewitt, are careful to add a disclaimer, when giving us praise. Well, what makes a freeper anyway? Are we, as some like to describe us, fringe right wingers? What attracts us to this site? What keeps us coming back? I have been a registered member since June of 1998, I became a regular poster after Clinton was elected. It was a comfort to find that there were other people who felt as discouraged as I did . Since then, every time I...
