How do I change my FR screen name?

The answer's probably staring me in the face, but I couldn't find it the FR Help section or in the Edit Account section of the personal menu.

I'm a newbie, so my thoughts are probably not the best help... you might try asking the Admin Moderator... or just register again. Of course being an old-bie like yourself... I'd like to keep the date started.

To my knowledge, you can't "change" your screen name. You can only abandon it, and re-sign up. Perhap's other's with more FReeper time than I can be more informative. Blackbird.

I changed my screenname. Just send a FReepmail to "john robinson" and request he change it so you can keep your sign up date.

That's the way I did it as well a few years ago. It bites to lose any "Member since..." seniority, but oh well.

Thanks to all for the tips. Guess I'll e-mail Jim or John should I decide to go ahead and make the change. If it means losing the member since date, though, I'll probably opt against.
