MIAMISBURG — Police had to be called after customers of a Walmart in Miamisburg became unruly when the store closed.Police from Miami Township were dispatched around 8 p.m. when several customers became upset and unruly when the Walmart in the 8800 block of Kingsridge Drive closed Wednesday for observance of Christmas Eve.Initial reports say people were trying to enter the store by force before police arrived.Police say one citation was issued, but no arrests were made.According to a company website, the location on Kingsridge Drive is normally open 24 hours, but closed at 8 p.m. for the holiday.

When a child named Curtis Bowen was slapped by his teacher at Martin Luther King Jr., Elementary School, no one really heard about it. BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Authorities said a man, 66, was arrested after calling 911 on Saturday to complain that a fast food restaurant ran out of lemonade. After a drive-through employee failed to respond to the man's threat of contacting the police, the irate diner called 911, a police report alleges. State Supreme Court Justice Russell M. Nigro, the first state-level judge ever denied another 10-year term, says he was the victim of "misguided" outrage over the pay-raise law the Legislature approved in July.
