...I wanted to address the Lifetime series of "The Dirty Girls Social Club" again.

First, I should let you all know I haven't heard a peep from anyone at the network since I last posted. I have talked to my co-executive producer, Nely Galan, who talked to an exec at the network who, I am told, told her that they have no problem with me at the repitch meeting. Rather, they just want to meet with everyone but me in order to "bond". Okay. ...

Basically, there's a thing that happens in Hollywood. Moneylust. They all want to make money, for no reason other than to make money, money that enables them to drive stupid luxury cars into stupid gated compounds in the Valley, with fake blue water running down the fake waterfall out front, water that kills the pitiful wildlife that are being strangled ...

ANYWHOO. So they salivate about a book that made some money, and by census figures that they don't understand beyond knowing that they see lots of Mexicans taking the bus in Santa Monica. But when it comes down to actually making a show ... the moneylusters get scared to do something new ...

Hollywood is staffed by many talented, brilliant people; but they aren't usually the people making the key decisions. The bean-counters. THOSE people, the ones making the decisions, tend to be sheltered, wealthy, greedy and cowardly. ... In other words, it's not all about ethnic and gender prejudice, though that's a huge issue, it's also about sloth ... Hollywood execs, as a group, have the collective imagination of a pack of sleeping hamsters....

In short, I don't have the time, or the energy, to waste on educating people who don't want to learn or change unless someone else learns or changes FIRST.

Of course Alisa hasn't heard a peep from powerful studio executives - they've cut her dead. Meanwhile, bet producer Nely Galan loves to see her private efforts to salvage the television project and talk sense into this dimwit who's said too much already published on a public blog. Lucky you, Nely!

Alisa's a real charmer to everyone, though - she wants money and opportunity from powerful people she publicly calls 'dumbasses,' racists and 'bean counters' along with 'wealthy, greedy, and cowardly.' I am sure that will motivate them to give her money.
